alphas-cancelled-renewed-season-two-syfyIt´s still going on for our list of renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011,and in this case, Syfy renews Alphas for a second season, in what many of us thought was going to happen sooner or later. Let´s all remember Alphas was the biggest series premiere for Syfy, and that the show´s first season is averaging 3.3 million viewers (when DVR +7 data is factored in).

Second season renewal order for Alphas by Syfy consists of thirteen new episodes slated to air in 2012 and production is yet to begin.

We are closing in on Alphas first season, and finale is coming closer and closer, scheduled for September 26th, so this news help positioning that finale as first season finale with a cliffhanger to expect.

Mark Stern, president of Syfy original content said about Alphas renewal: “From the first-rate writing to the outstanding cast lead by David Strathairn, we’re very proud of what was achieved in its first season and look forward to seeing this series fulfill even more of its creative potential in a second season.”
