Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2011: Cougar Town renewed for third season by ABC

We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011. And the year came out in its first week already giving way to a couple renewals. Second week of the year, is full of renewals. ABC renews Cougar Town for a third season. In this case, the same day as Pretty Little Liars renewal order for second season, Secret Life of the American Teenager renewal, Castle renewal, Grey´s Anatomy renewal, Private Practice renewal, Modern Family renewal and The Middle renewal. Cougar Town renewal for season three comes with no shock at all to anyone since the show is being solid in the ratings gaining 3%, and the last couple of seasons ABC did the whole comedy block pickup the same day.

We´ll get to see more of that great cast as we follow a show that only mistaken the name (And fortunately, even the show runner knows it and teases himself and the show). It´s probably alongside Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother the best sitcom ensemble. Want to hear your thoughts on this statement of mine.

Definitely keep Cougar Town…it is fabulous! What a great cast!!! And I love how they make fun of the show title each week!

I like the show a lot..I just can’t stand Courtney cox’s kid in it. I think he is terrible!!! and the creepy neighbor who shows up in the window…get rid of him too!

I love Cougar Town! I think the cast flows so well together. I wish they would bring back Courtney Cox’s dad. He was great too! The show isn’t very “cougary” anymore, but that is fine with me. This show gets better every week. Oh, I guess I do hate Courtney’s son’s girlfriend (but I can deal with it). LOL

I LOVE this show! I watch it every Wed. It is creative and a great show about friendships with your average people that are older than highschool students. And I love that they show that ppl can be responsible while they drink. Yes they show a lot of wine being drunk, and sadly sometimes idolized, however, they are always sober! Constructive criticisms: hate Travis’s greasy long hair look, everyone needs to stop basically worshipping Jules (Courteney Cox is beautiful, but all the attempts to show how cool she is or how many stalkers she has is getting old. My husband doesn’t watch much tv. He scoffs when I watch Greys Anatomy, but we both LOVE cougar town. It is ridiculous and we laugh so hard. Better with you is too corny and mr. Sunshine doesn’t quite hit the mark. Get rid of another show and bring back cougar town! My Wednesday night aren’t the same!

Although the story lines themselves seem repetative and unrealistic I love this show; the jokes and overdone similarities to everyday life in those jokes and the things the people want to say but cannot….It makes us laugh and we really enjoy it a lot! Although NOTHING holds a candle to Modern Family!!! Sitcomes give you a nice light escape from the trials of everyday life so sit back and enjoy all!

Please, don’t cancel Cougar Town. It’s the only show I enjoy watching, because the cast involves people my age. If they want to get rid of a show….they should cancel, Modern Family.
