Saving-Hope-cancelled-renewed-nbc-ctvWhen I started the lists for  cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012 I always  thought I´d be putting shows on an either / or fashion. Well, the case for Saving Hope is different. Since NBC cancelled Saving Hope, but original runner CTV renewed Saving Hope for season two. So, if you are from Canada you´ll get treated to a second run, but if you are from the US you´ll either need to get those canadian DVD´s or get it through CTV on your cable provider. The show is being pulled off the screen of NBC effective immediately, but, you can watch Saving Hope online for the two last episodes on NBC.com.

What is Saving Hope about?

In “Saving Hope,” when charismatic Chief of Surgery Charlie Harris (Shanks) at Hope-Zion Hospital ends up in a coma, he leaves the hospital in chaos — and his fiancée and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Durance), in a state of shock.  Along with newly arrived star surgeon, Joel Goran (Gillies), Reid races to save Harris’ life.  As the action unfolds, the comatose Harris explores the hospital halls in “spirit” form, not sure if he’s a ghost or a figment of his own imagination.  Reid, along with her fellow doctors, presses on to save his life and the lives of their other patients as they deal with the complicated and courageous decisions that are made in their daily struggle to keep hope alive.
