UPDATE: Castle gets oficially renewed by ABC on March 30th, 2010!
We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
And this is particularily good news for me; as I am such a huge fan of Castle.
Castle is getting renewed for a third season by ABC! Woo-hoo!
On this week´s TCA Stephen McPherson told reporters that the show is in very good shape, and they are planning on launching Richard Castle´s second book on September 2010.
What did he say?

McPherson says ABC loves Castle and show runner Andrew Marlowe, and notes that as a procedural, Castle repeats extremely well for the network. And guess what? Heat Wave, the second Nikki Heat book from Richard Castle, is planned for a September 2010 release.
Are you as happy as I am that Castle gets renewed for a third season by ABC?
Is there something as enough Nathan Fillion on TV… Hummm Nope! Let´s have more of that awesomeness. (I´m still hurting about Firefly cancellation…)

cbs really messed up because Three Rivers was a great show, IF you could watch it, It was rarely on at the time it was supposed to be, so it didn’t get the ratings it should have.
Nothing is “official.” Why are you saying it is? All they said was that it looks good, but nothing official yet. Way to cause a panic.
Dude, you’re wrong. No announcement has been made about a 3rd season of Castle. I put a link under my name with a website where you can keep up to date on Castle info,they’re the best source of information.
That said, McPherson’s comments, the second Nikki Heat book and the continually rising ratings are all hopeful indications that a season 3 announcement will be made in time.
Also, “Heat Wave” is the name of the FIRST Nikki Heat book, there IS no name for the second book yet.

Actually, from what I hear there is a name for the second book. It’s supposedly called “Naked Heat”.

Now if only we could find some producers who will actually re-take firefly. Damn, I won’t even mind if 2012 IS the end of the world. As long as we get another season of Firefly.
If they cancel the show i will no longer watch any ABC show.
I can’t wait to see it. And please get them back together and at each other. The sexual tension helped make the show. Denning almost got us to stop watching. The season ending kiiled me.
Agrreing with you Karen, the season ending put me off my mind for about a week. Never has a TV show affected me like this. And , I distinctly remember that I started watching this coz there was nothing to watch, but ended gasping for more. The tension between Castle and Beckett is what made the show so good. I loved it coz of that, and I like Katic a lot!
I cannot get enough of Nathan Fillion. There is just something about him that I have never been able to put my finger on. the closest I can get is that all of the characters I’ve seen him play are real men with good hearts. Firefly is my all time favorite show, and Captain Malcolm Reynolds is in my top five favorite fictional characters of any medium. Castle doesn’t come close to Firefly (nothing does), but it is one of only three television shows I watch every episode of. I didn’t realize the Nikki Heat books actually existed, cool.
Glad to read that Castle will be back. It is the only show I would take time to watch during the week. It’s very entertaining and enjoyable.
Ah wow. I absolutely love this show. Hopefully there will be many more seasons to come.

Castle is our favorite series, because it is well acted, fun and serious at times. Just enough of each.
you really really should not cancel a great show. Shame on you for even thinking of it.
