Olympus - Season 1

This is the premise: Starring Matt Frewer (“Max Headroom,” “Orphan Black”), Sonita Henry (“Star Trek,” “The Fifth Element”), Cas Anvar (“Argo,” “The Expanse”) and Graham Shiels (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Thor: Dark World”), the gripping seriescaptures the dangerous courage of a few brave men and women who banished the gods to the realm of the unconscious – a place they called the Underworld or the Kingdom of Hades. Not a place the gods would like to call home.

The story seems quite interesting, actually, but the acting seems a bit lackluster, the choreographed fights are just ho-hum and the green screen in front of which was filmed is a bit too obvious.
That´s where the show suffers, it is maybe too ambitious for its budget and that really brings it down from a better grade that would deserve otherwise.
If you can move past that, you will find an entertaining premise and an overall good show.
I hope viewers will give this show a fair chance and sign that imaginary contract with the creators of accepting the believability of the world they are showing. If they do, it will develop to a B+ kind of show, if not, it will dwindle to the D.

Basically the show is the poor man´s version of Spartacus, very much the same as Z Nation is the poor man´s version of The Walking Dead. In the case of Z Nation it worked nonetheless and turned out to become a very good solid show that secured a second season and a cult following among the zombie viewers. For this one, jury is still out, but I can see both scenarios happening. As for me, I will watch on, and then make my decision. At least after the third or fourth episode.
