Whenever you travel to a major entertainment and toursim city, you know you will be facing tons of choices about where to stay, and in the case of Orlando, there are nearly 200,000 rooms to choose. In this article I will be reviewing our stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.
Normally in our trips we prefer to have a good place to rest and we focus on quality and comfort when picking a hotel stay.
So, when we say comfort it means a lot of things. In our last trip to Orlando we stayed at a very good hotel, but one that was very far away and had us commuting to Orlando and taking away an hour each day between coming and going. This time we chose one who is closer. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa is just 10 minutes away from Disney, and 20 minutes from International Drive and Universal. That is a plus, and it is literally across the street from Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, a good outlet we also visited.
Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa has a pirate themed swimming pool, so I pulled out my pirate flag!

We shouldn´t say we got a good room, we got a huge freaking department! We had two rooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, and a dining area. In one of the bathrooms we even had a hottub.
We were a couple staying, but if you are a family it can really make a huge difference, having a full sized refrigerator, a microwave, dishwasher, oven and microwave). Pair that with a 5 minutes away Wal Mart and you can save tons if money in dining by staying at this hotel.
There´s also a coffeemaker and a toaster.
If you are planning on a long stay, they also have a washing machine and a dryer in the room and you can do your own laundry if needed. We stayed only one night there, as we were trying to review several hotels in our stay, so we did not use it, but it sure can come handy for a family.

It is a huge zero entry swimming pool that has a pirate ship (as you can see in the pic above) and inside the pirate ship, there is a water slide. There are lifeguards on duty during operation hours, and there is a bar right there with ready to help you snap a picture staff.
I have to say we did not try the Spa area as we stayed only one day, but I´m pretty sure next time we are in Orlando we will try and go.
I noticed there are a lot of Pirate Themed things in Orlando.

What is close by?
The Lake Buena Vista Factory Store, Orlando´s first outlet is just across the street and in there you can find many stores. It is very convenient as you can do a little bit of shopping every day if you want to, instead of having to do it a full day.
There are several dining options within the hotel, like a Pizza Hut Express and Frankie Farrell´s Irish Pub (which closes late), and Lani´s Luau poolside.
There is a Wal Mart less than five minutes away, and a gas station a few block away. Location, location, location is a plus for this hotel.
Who should stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa?
I am sure anyone would enjoy it, but there are some specific travelers who this hotel could be great for:
– Those who want to be close, but not in the middle of everything.
– Those travelling in bigger family groups. There are even four bedroom apartments, which make for a great choice in terms of staying all together while still having some privacy.
– Those who prefer staying out during the day and dining in the hotel.
– Those who love buying clothes, as the hotel is just across the street of around 50 outlet brand stores.
