Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2010: Disney cancels Jonas LA

jonas-la-cancelled-renewed-disney-channelWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.

This fall season, a lot of shows are falling like crazy. NBC already cancelled Outlaw, ABC Family cancelled Huge, Fox cancelled Lone Star, ABC cancelled My Generation, and also cancelled The Whole Truth, and MTV cancelled The City in its second season, and HBO cancelled Big Love at its fifth and NBC cancelled Undercovers, and Supernanny gets cancelled so Jo Frost can move on.

Some are getting renewed, since HBO renews Eastbound & Down for season three, and also renews Bored to Death for season three and TLC renewed Sister Wives, and NBC renews Days of Our Lives.

And in this case, sad news for Jonas Brothers fans, since Disney Channel cancelled Jonas L.A. by not ordering a new season of the show, that was subpar in the ratings, especially when compared to hit series Hannah Montana or Sonny With a Chance.

“We’ve been fortunate to work with the enormously talented Jonas Brothers on several projects, including the Emmy-nominated series JONAS L.A.,” the Disney Channel spokesperson said. “We look forward to working with them on new projects in the future.”

So, as I said, Disney Channel cancels Jonas LA. Are you sad Disney Channel cancelled Jonas L.A. ?

Cancelled Shows 2009: Jonas from Jonas Brothers gets renewed for a new season by Disney!

jonas-renewed-cancelled-second-seasonWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.

We weren´t very optimistic about the fate of Jonas Brothers´ JONAS… but we were wrong. Disney has picked JONAS for a second season and moved the shows to Sundays, pairing it up with Hannah Montana and Sonny With a Chance .

JONAS, the tween-idol band’s fledgling Disney Channel sitcom, is on the move from its original night and time to Sunday, where, presumably, iCarly can’t hurt it anymore.

Responding to an inquiry regarding the status of JONAS, which hadn’t aired a new episode in two weeks (after premiering only a month ago), the network said the show was getting a new home as part of a routine summer overhaul.

The Monkees-aspiring JONAS debuted May 2 before a solid 4 million viewers, only to get hammered by an iCarly special the following week.

Starting this weekend, the Jonases’ show, which formerly led off Saturdays, will be placed behind Sonny With a Chance, which itself will air after Hannah Montana, on Sundays.

According to Disney, JONAS was May’s top-rated TV show among children 6-11, who, unfortunately for the sibling stars, aren’t old enough to work for the New York Times—and lobby against articles that ask if their act is “fizzling.”

We were speculating about Jonas being cancelled, especially after how badly iCarly beat them up on the ratings in week two.

And alongside Jonas, there goes Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother renewed and Gary Unmarried all heading towards renewal.

JONAS (previously J.O.N.A.S.) is an American Disney Channel Original Series created by Mantis Productions and It’s a Laugh Productions starring the Jonas Brothers. Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Joe Jonas appear as the Lucas Brothers, the three members of the fictional band “JONAS” who try to live a normal life in the face of stardom.

The first preview of JONAS was aired on Disney Channel on January 1, 2009 as part of a compilation of new programs that will air on the channel in 2009. The series premiered on Disney Channel on May 2, 2009 to an audience of 4 million viewers.

What is JONAS About? – Plot

JONAS follows fictional brothers Joe, Nick, and Kevin Lucas, the three members of the extremely popular band “JONAS”, as they try to maintain ordinary teen lives despite their fame. The brothers live in a converted fire station in New Jersey with their mother Sandy, father Tom, and younger brother Frankie. The band’s name comes from the street they live on: Jonas Street. The Lucases have known Stella Malone, their personal stylist and friend, since Stella was five years old. The Lucas brothers and Stella attend Horace Mantis Academy, based on the private Horace Mann School in Riverdale, N.Y. along with Stella’s best friend and JONAS’ self-proclaimed biggest fan, Macy.

Are you happy Jonas has been picked up for a second season by Disney?
