Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2011: ABC renews The Bachelor for season 16

the-bachelor-cancelled-renewedWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011. And while tonight The Bachelor season finale airs, and we´ll learn who will Brad Womack pick, this is not the last we´ll see from The Bachelor. The very successful franchise has been inked for another season.

ABC renews The Bachelor for season 16 after averaging over 10 million per episode this season. So, it´s not surprising to see the show come back for a new shot at love from a hopeful single guy that has to date twenty beautiful women. It´s a hard job, but someone´s got to do it.

The 16th season of The Bachelor, just renewed, will air in 2012, and it will probably hold on to the same time and night, but it´s still too soon as to say anything but a conjecture.

The Bachelor is the one show surviving among others that started around the same time with a similar kind of celestine ways, as Joe Millionaire and others.

There will be more roses to be handed from a yet to be cast Bachelor.

What do you think? Are you happy The Bachelor got renewed by ABC for season 16? Will you watch it?

Cancelled Shows 2009: The Bachelor is renewed for a new season!

cancelled-shows-2009-the-bachelor-is-renewedABC has already renewed The Bachelor for a fourteenth season. So, everything´s good for The Bachelor!

The Bachelor is an American reality television dating game show debuting in 2002 on ABC. Chris Harrison has hosted all of the show’s season. The Bachelorette is a spin-off of The Bachelor.

We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.

What is The Bachelor About? – Plot

The series revolves around a bachelor who chooses a potential wife from among 25 women. In past seasons, bachelors have included a doctor, a prince, a NFL player, a millionaire, and other types of frequently sought after men. The show follows the bachelor as he goes on a series of dates with the women, some of them group dates, some one-on-one dates, and some of them two-on-one dates. On each episode women are eliminated, generally during the rose ceremony at the end of the episode, but sometimes on the dates (during what are called “elimination dates”). The process culminates towards the end of the season with hometown visits to the final four women’s families, the three final women each going on an overnight date to exotic location, and the meeting of the bachelor’s family and each of the two final women. At the end of the show, the bachelor chooses one woman with whom he would like to continue a relationship. Sometimes he proposes marriage, sometimes other levels of commitment. There have been a few interesting twists such as Brad not picking either of the women and Jason changing his mind during the “After the Final Rose” show.

The runner-up from the first season, Trista Rehn, later starred in The Bachelorette, a spin-off program in which the format is gender-reversed. Her marriage to the winner of her season of The Bachelorette was also televised.

Are you happy that The Bachelor gets renewed for a new season by ABC?
