the-beast-cancelledThe Beast is cancelled. It has been a great show, but its stamina got to an end. This one is officially cancelled, there´s not much hope for the show… we saw a lot of other Cancelled Shows and Series

The Beast is an A&E television series starring Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel. It debuted on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10 PM EST. On June 15, 2009, Entertainment Tonight announced the show has been canceled.

The main reason is the uncertainty of Swayze´s fight with pancreatic cancer, on top of not so great ratings.

What is The Beast About? – Plot

The series centers on an unorthodox but effective FBI veteran, Charles Barker (Patrick Swayze), who takes on a rookie partner, Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel). Barker trains Dove in a hard-edged, psychologically driven approach towards undercover work, where a moment’s hesitation can lead to death. Barker applies controversial techniques in his attempts to bring criminals to justice, which often border on illegal and unsettle his inexperienced partner.
Over the course of the first season, Barker is investigated by fellow FBI agents for alleged misconduct. Dove’s loyalty to his partner is challenged when internal affairs agent Ray Beaumont (Larry Gilliard) approaches him to gain information. Shortly thereafter, Dove learns of darker secrets in Barker’s past.
The show is set and shot on location in Chicago, Illinois.

Rumour dismissed: Patrick Swayze is alive and well. Patrick Swayze not dead

patrick-swayze-is-alive-not-deadDon’t believe the rumors: Patrick Swayze is “alive and well.”

The Internet exploded this morning with rumors that the Dirty Dancing star had lost his public battle with pancreatic cancer, and a lot of Twitts about Patrick Sawyze´s dead rambled on, but the actor’s rep has quickly corrected the record.

“This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning, contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Fla.,” his publicist, Annett Wolf, says in a statement to E! News.

“Patrick is alive, well and is enjoying his life, and he continues to respond to treatment.”

The latest rumor came this morning, when his premature death was reportedly announced on air during a radio news segment on KISS FM.

Patrick Wayne Swayze (born August 18, 1952), (pronounced /?swe?zi?/), is an American actor, dancer, and singer-songwriter. He is probably best-known as Orry Main in the North and South-TV-series and as a romantic leading man in films such as Dirty Dancing (1987) and Ghost (1990), for which he received Golden Globe nominations, along with his performances in Red Dawn (1984), Road House (1989), and Point Break (1991). He was listed by People magazine as its “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1991. Diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in January 2008, he has had a public battle with the disease, but is, as he described it to Barbara Walters in January 2009, “kicking it.” He signed on to be the lead in a new A&E television series, The Beast, which began airing on January 15, 2009.
