Another show coming to join the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012, in this case, with a bit of a bittersweet flavour, as HBO renewed Treme for season four and final. HBO is bringing back the grooviest show in TV these days, setting the premiere for Treme´s third season for Sunday 9/23 at 10PM. A city rises up to reclaim its unique cultural roots as the acclaimed drama series from the creator of The Wire comes back for another run on HBO.
And folks at HBO have sent me the video trailer of the new season of Treme for you to watch in advance and start enjoying while you make it through the waiting; a long month and then some until Treme is back for another run in our screens.
Still a lot of catching up to do in this renewal and cancellation front. After all, this whole month off for my trip was in the midst of every network announcements. Well…
HBO renewed Treme for season three, marking the comeback of a huge great show.
What´s the best thing to love about HBO? They renew the good shows if they are happy with the quality of them, even though the numbers may not be as great as expected. Proof? Treme was down this second season by near a fifty percent from season one; but HBO loves the show about the lives of New Orleans people in the aftermath of the Katrina Hurricane; hence HBO renews Treme for season three.
This means you have a new chance to catch up on this great show, with such good music and heartwarming script and editing.

Last year there was a show that brought us viewers so much emotion and enjoyment. That show is called Treme; and Treme is coming back for a second season, premiering on April 24 on HBO.
Season 2 premiere of the Emmy-nominated drama series TREME on HBO. It’s more than a year since Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. The national spotlight on the Crescent City has dimmed, and residents are finding it harder than ever to rebuild their lives. Some have become expatriates in distant cities. The insurance checks that never arrived for homeowners were followed by the bureaucratic nightmare that was the Road Home program, and a land-grab is underway as developers and disaster capitalists press their advantage. Crime and drug use are up, and corruption and graft are endemic, with civic institutions unable to counter any of it.
And yet the culture of New Orleans somehow endures. TREME kicks off its 11-episode second season SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
Whenever HBO is doing something, it´s probably good news. In this case for all those folks in New Orleans.

Simon created HBO’s the “The Wire,” which just completed a five-year run. While not a huge ratings success for the network, “The Wire” was one of the most critically acclaimed shows in television history.
