Nancy wanders into a room of her house to find a pushy masseuse waiting for her. A gift, that she cant turn down. Nancy tries to relax as the masseuse (Rachel Ticotin) works on her. Nancy complains that men are weak and women are strong – at least until they fall apart. The masseuse tells Nancy she has a lot in common with the boss Pilar. The woman who sent her. All the tension comes racing back.

Celia makes a screwdriver out of concentrate in her hide out in a storage facility. Doug drops by. There you are, you feral bitch, he says by way of greeting. They try to hash out the terms of a sale of her plants. Dougs got $37 to his name. She suggests credit. He checks out the supply, but recognizes it as not his pot. She realizes he know she stole his weed. By his logic, this means that pot (from Ignacio) is now his. They scuffle over the bag, with Celia keeping a firm grip on her pitcher of screwdrivers, until Doug threatens to call that black cop on her. Now she knows he knows. She wallops him upside the head with the glass pitcher, polishing it off with a swig.

Nancy talks to her surly son Shane, who doesnt say much of anything any more. He tells her to go feed the baby. Silas comes in and she mentions she breast fed both of them.

Silas gets a call from Adelita. Shes calling from her room and wants him to come up. Shane advises him to wear a condom.

In Adelitas room, she asks him to bring her her laptop, which is four feet from her bed. He refuses. Go f— yourself, Princess. Then she tells him half of her body has gone numb and she wants to go online and find out why. (Um, maybe heroin?) She says its happened before, when she injected into her wrist. Holy s—, youre a junkie, he says. Im a recreational user, she insists. He says hes going to call her dad. She tells him not to, saying she thought he was cool. He points out she never thought that. He turns to go. She asks him to shoot her up just once before she goes. And then she pukes.

Andy leads Audra (heretofore known as Dr. Alanis Morissette) into the garage, covering her eyes. He claims to have a sexy surprise for her. Its a new minivan. He sold the General Lee and a few arcade games. He also unregistered their phone number so Gale cant find them and forwarded it to the van. He wants her to climb into the front seat to notice the ring hanging from the rear view mirror. Shes distracted by the TV screens and GPS and pretty much everything but the ring. God dammit, look at the rear view mirror, Andy barks at her. He turns her head toward the ring. She immediately tells him he should take it down because if the light hits it, it might blind someone and cause an accident. Before she can answer his question, Silas calls on the van phone, saying he needs her for an emergency.

Nancy comes downstairs to find her husband having coffee with Pilar, who says she and Esteban have always been a great team. So Im guessing death, and/or blackmail and/or imprisonment is the glue that holds you together, Nancy tells her. Esteban says theyve come to an understanding. She flatly tells them shes happy for them both. Pilar says Esteban will win, even married to Nancy, but itd still be best if she stayed in the background. Nancy asks her to leave. Pilar invites her to a fundraiser at her house that night. She should come for 30 minutes, then get a headache and leave. Pilar leaves.

Nancy tells Esteban about looking for him yesterday and finding him on TV. He says Pilar knows everything, every indiscretion, documented and photographed. His options were to cooperate or go to prison for life.

Esteban goes in to kiss her but notices shes wearing his deodorant. She says she likes the way it smells, but he tells her not to wear it again. I get it, youre the man, she says.

Nancy calls a now free Guillermo. She tells him she wants it done today. He says its no problem.

Doug wakes up tied up in Celias storage locker. She explains that shes going to go back to being a drug dealer since there are no black cops after her. She raves briefly about being a new lesbian, but quickly caves, saying she misses man parts. Doug doesnt think shes cut out to be a drug dealer since she folded so quickly. Doug says Nancy had a team. So Celia wants a team. Doug offers to team with her. Sensing her lack of options, Celia agrees.

Nancy runs into Andy and Audra (wearing the ring) in the hallway outside Adelitas door. Silas comes out and thinks his mom knows. And then he has to tell her Adelita is a junkie.

Audra and Silas go check her out.

Nancy and Andy discuss downstairs. He says Audra hasnt said yes yet. Andy catches Nancy gloating a little bit that Estebans perfect daughter is a junkie. Nancy explains her new plan where she cant rely on men. Im not, Im f—– steel, Andy says. She agrees. Esteban wanders in. Eventually Nancy tells him Audra is with his daughter. He thinks shes pregnant. But Nancy tells him the truth. He thinks its impossible. And then hes not quite sure what to say for a while. Finally he says I cant and walks away. Well, Nancy says, then I will.

Celia greets her new team. Doug (co-team leader and finance), Dean (legal), Sanjay (sales), Ignacio (supply and, as Perro Isano, muscle) and Isabelle (brains).

Audra and Andy walk home. Shes still wearing the ring, but hasnt answered. They walk inside, where they find crazy protester Gale wielding a crossbow. Andy runs immediately, leaving Audra there alone with her dangerous stalker.

At the fundraiser, Silas says his mom arranged for Adelita to go to a rehab in Arizona. And it was weird seeing Esteban cry. Shane chugs champagne and asks his brother why he didnt go to Europe. Because it looked like you were going to go off the deep end, and I wanted to be around to jump in, Silas says. Shane says hell be fine. Hes also worried about their mom. He thinks one day her luck will run out.

Cesar tells Nancy to get used to Pilar and her ways. She says shes prepared other ways.

Celia tells Esteban shes leaving. He says hes sorry about everything. He gives her his jacket and she walks out. Pilar walks out with her.

So, Pilar says, Guillermo. Interesting choice. She tells her next time she might want to choose someone who doesnt work for her and isnt still mad at Nancy for ratting him out. Nancy turns to leave, and Pilar grabs her.

Nancy lists her grievances with Pilar, including that she took a shot at her and hit her kid and cut her husbands balls off. Pilar suggests they add two more to the list: Shane and Silas. She lists the ways they might go, in a car accident, a plane crash Or a croquet mallet, someone says as they whack her in the head, knocking her into the nearby pool. Its Shane, who looks pretty pleased with himself. Nancy looks at him with a combination of relief and horror.

We fade out on Pilar, presumably lifeless, floating face down in the pool.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of Weeds S05E12 Glue

Nancy drowns her woes in a glass of wine. Shane comes downstairs. Nancy explains she’s waiting for Cesar to report back and tell her if she’s a widow again. He asks which of Esteban’s many crimes they took him for. She doesn’t know, they just took him. “It’s about f—— time,” says Shane.

He asks his mom if she ever wishes she could go back to after his dad died and do things differently. He thinks about it a lot.

Nancy gets a call from Cesar.

Isabelle visits her mom, bearing caffeine. Celia is dressed like a 17 year old Jonas fan. Isabelle’s totally grossed out. Celia brags that she’s going to out-Nancy Nancy by going for what she wants. She’s off to buy weed from Ignacio, and then maybe get her “Sapphic freak on.”

Isabelle tells her there’s a detective waiting downstairs for her. She describes him as a black guy with a fedora and leather jacket.

Andy runs in front of Nancy’s limo to stop it. He climbs in and announces he’s a man on a mission. Nancy doesn’t want to hear it, explaining what’s going on with her and that she doesn’t care about Andy’s “shenanigans.”

He announces that he’s going to ask Dr. Alanis Morrisette, aka Audra, to marry him. And he wants to give her his mom’s ring, which Judah gave to Nancy, so can he have it?

At the house, Silas is peeved to find he can’t leave during lockdown. Adelita tells him some of her friends are coming over, he should join them.

At where ever Esteban’s being held, Nancy meets Cesar in a waiting room. He says she’s the wrong color to deal with things. Andy comes in, Andy babbling.

He asks her again for the ring, which belonged to his grandmother.

Cesar reports they have a number to get a pass to go to the sixth floor. It’s 167 and they’re on 115. Nancy takes out a wad of cash and tells him to buy a better number.

They decide to do a magazine quiz to determine if Andy’s really in love.

Celia finds Ignacio in Perro Insano mode, surrounded by a crowd of screaming fans. He tells her to leave her bag and take his, but Celia looks up and sees a detective like the one Isabelle described. She runs out.

Nancy continues the quiz, with a question about friendship being a fundamental part of true love, which leads to them arguing and Andy announcing he’s going to propose tomorrow. Nancy doesn’t believe he’s in love with Audra. He thinks it’s his shot.

Celia calls Nancy, saying she needs help. She wants to know where to hide out when the heat is on. But she looks up and sees the detective down the block. She hangs up and runs.

Cesar comes back to Nancy, announcing Esteban is on a different floor. He’s not under arrest, but he’s being held for questioning.

Adelita’s two snooty male friends sip wine and ask Silas where he went to prep school. One of them asks Silas if he wants to smoke; he’s all out of weed, but he has some delightful heroin.

Andy continues making his case, saying that Audra makes him feel like every other woman was a mistake. Cesar pipes up, saying he’s been married for 27 years and they have three beautiful children. Their love is based on sharing, communicating, connecting.

Perro Insano goes to visit Celia. He bangs on her door and she panics, trying to hide her weed. He busts down her door and takes her money while she’s out of the room.

Nancy and Cesar talk to a guy behind the counter, who gets snooty over the idea that Nancy doesn’t speak Spanish in Mexico. They get nowhere.

Nancy rejoins Andy working on his 1974 magazine quiz.

At the house, Silas watches a super high Adelita get pawed at by her two tool friends. Shane comes into the kitchen. He and Silas both find the idea of heroin off-putting. So big bro hands Shane some wine instead.

Shane thanks him for not leaving when he could have. They watch as the two guys strip the clothes off Adelita, who’s too out of it to fight back. Shane asks if they should do something.

Silas goes to talk to them, but they ignore his request. Shane comes up behind one and holds an extremely large knife to his throat, trotting out some very explicit threats in Spanish taught to him by Ignacio.

They scamper. Silas looks at his little brother, impressed. “Summer school,” Shane says.

Andy reports the results of their love quiz. Andy got 89, Nancy got 62.

Andy maintains that he’s truly in love. “For now,” Nancy says, adding this is what he does. He loves to be loved and he builds things up and then runs, she says. He realizes she’s not going to give him the ring. He calls her a coward, saying that all the stuff she gets into doesn’t make her brave and that she’s terrified of being ordinary.

She says she made sacrifices for her family, but he says she sacrificed her family. She could be watching Shane play soccer, but she’s not. Don’t tell me you want to be someone else when you’ve done f— all to change it, Andy says.

Nancy finally gets called in to see someone, but the building is closing down. She yells until he looks something up. Esteban isn’t there. He was released four hours ago. Nancy whacks the guy with her purse.

Celia calls someone, barricaded inside her condo. She says she knows they don’t like each other, but she needs to get rid of her plants. But no, she won’t go down on him.

Cut to Doug, hanging up the phone, pleased their plan has worked. On the couch nearby, Isabelle tells him not to ask her mom to give him a b.j. while she’s in the room. “Had to,” Doug says, “otherwise she would have known something was up.”

The celebrate the success of their plan with its third member, Dean — in blackface and a leather jacket. He’s considering walking around like that a little bit longer, trying to get some white women action. “I’ll let the hospital know you’re coming,” Isabelle says.

Nancy comes home to find Shane drinking. He tells her Silas is in the bathroom holding Adelita’s hair while she pukes. Shane’s watching the news.

Esteban is back on the ticket, with Pilar standing beside him. Nancy realizes Pilar pulled him back in. Shane asks Andy if he’s really getting married. “Yes, he is,” says Nancy. “He’s using my ring, with my blessings.”

The happy family, Shane and Silas and mom and new hubby play lawn darts. Silas doesn’t appreciate Esteban’s taunting, but Shane thinks he’s trying to be dad-like. His dad once told him he was so slow Stephen Hawking could beat him in a foot race. “Then he collapsed, puked twice and died,” Shane says, adding as he looks skyward, “Who’s the better jogger now?”

Nancy and Esteban act like cuddly newlyweds until a smoking hot teenage Latina comes into the backyard. Nancy’s worried for a moment, but Esteban introduces her. It’s Adelita, his daughter. She didn’t know they were married. And her new half-brother is also news.

Celia gets breakfast with Raileen, who’s extremely turned on by Celia’s success in the make-up company. Celia thinks she’s joking, until Raileen takes Celia’s hand and shoves it up her dress in the middle of the restaurant. The waitress decides to come back later to warm up their coffees.

Nancy finds Lupita giving the baby formula, against her wishes. Lupita asks who she should listen to: the skinny white lady from the suburbs or the big Mexican drug kingpin? Nancy sets Esteban straight. She gets a call from Guillermo and ignores it.

Gale the abortion protester stares down Andy as he waits for Dr. Alanis Morissette outside the clinic. She comes out, unconvinced about his assurance he’s changed, but he opens the door of the General Lee for her. He had the doors unwelded.

Doug and Dean rebuild bridges over bong hits and scheme how to get back at Celia. Dean’s plan involves slipping “spider goats” under her door. They’re part spider and part goat and their webs are like kevlar, he explains.

Doug thinks weed might be their problem, it’s preventing them from scheming.

Nancy meets with Guillermo in the conjugal prison trailer. He explains that the woman Nancy wants dead is big time. And he wants something in return, his case transferred to Mexican courts. She asks how she knows he won’t come after her. He says they’re like one of those YouTube videos, where a tiger and a duck become friends and get all confused; you think it’s going to be OK, but you never really know.

At the the doctor’s place, Andy gives Dr. Morrisette a foot massage as she reviews anatomy. She identifies the bones in her leg as he works his way up, kissing her. Then she’s naming lady parts and he’s showing off his special pleasure skills. And then something splats against the window. It’s Gale the protester. He has a thing for her. She knew it was a bad idea having Andy pick her up. “If you love something, throw tomatoes at it,” Andy recaps.

She says she’s always moving and they’re always finding her. As tomatoes continue to lamely splat against the pane, Andy suggests she move in with him. She can have her own room. Then he gets back to the business at hand. “If you don’t climax,” he says as he lays her back down, “the terrorists win.”

Nancy asks Cesar if he can get a judge to move Guillermo’s case. He’s not happy she visited him, but she tells him they have to work together now. Shane comes down for beer as they’re talking and sneaks one. Nancy forbids Cesar from hurting the judge, threatening to tell Esteban he tried to kill her. Then, as a show of good will, she cuts up the steak he’s having trouble managing with his lame arm (which she shot).

Celia takes Isabelle out for some salon pampering, sharing her success. Isabelle is suspicious of her nice mother. Celia confesses that she wants to apologize for how she reacted when Isabelle told her she was gay. And she has questions. Like what do you do? She muses aloud, wondering if she’s going to have to get toys. Isabelle realizes what’s happening and starts telling her mother no. “You cannot take this away from me,” she says, “it’s all that I have.”

At the Ren Mar house, Andy has cleaned and lit candles and made dinner for Dr. Morrissette. She comes over, impressed. But all the prep is soon forgotten as they get to lovin’.

After, in bed, she has questions about what he did that worked so well. And could he please do it again?

Doug and Dean try to scheme without weed, but are cranky and unproductive. Doug is particularly distressed to notice the size of his feet, which leads to a repressed childhood memory about getting molested at the circus. He runs for the weed. He suggests they’ll get stoned in shifts and if one has a good idea, they’ll write each other notes, “like ‘Memento’.”

Naked in the Ren Mar house, Andy and the doctor consult an anatomy book so he can point out what he was working on. Then he decides to go with a demonstration.

Silas saunters by Adelita at the house, suggesting they go for a night swim. She turns him down, she’s reading. He tries to talk books. It doesn’t go well. Nancy sees his futile attempts and, once he leaves, says outright to Adelita that her son can be very charming. But the self-possessed high schooler tells Nancy that her lover is 35, Silas holds no appeal to her. Nancy extends an olive branch, suggesting they go to lunch together sometime.

Adelita says that’s nice of her, but she’s not invested in her father’s love life.

Andy feeds the doctor steak in bed, still naked. She’s impressed by his cooking, which leads to more sex.

Nancy finds Lupita, and announces that the baby won’t nurse. She sends her off to feed him. Esteban finishes chatting with some dudes on the lawn and tells Nancy he still has a chance at governor. He even has some clean money lined up. He asks where his daughter is. He heard Silas tried to hit on her. He says he’s not in her league, he’s a “simple boy.” Offended, Nancy says Adelita has a stick up her a–. He hopes so, he sent her to France to get it there. She wishes him a pleasant night on the sofa.

Celia comes home from shopping with Raileen, making small talk in the hallway. Then they make out for a little while. Celia’s ready for more, but Raileen says they’ll get to that. She picks up her bags and leaves.

Nancy finds Shane in the bathroom and offers to help him change his bandage. Silas comes in reading a book, but leaves. Shane gets impatient when his mom takes too long to tend to him. He takes the bandages and leaves.

A disgusted Isabelle finds her dad and Doug passed out in Dean’s office. They’ve drawn all over each other’s faces. She figures that they’re going to get Celia. She’s on board. “Let’s do this right,” she says.

At night, Nancy sits on the bed as Esteban works on the couch. She announces that she wants Stevie to go far away when he’s old enough. Esteban says there’ll be nothing to run from, he won’t be Pilar’s clown. “I f——d up my kids,” she says. Esteban says they’ll fix them. Then he says he’s been reading about formula and he’s changed his mind about it.

She thinks she’s toxic. He tells her to be patient.

He asks her to come to the opening of his Tijuana campaign office the next day.

At the office, Cesar tells Nancy he found a judge who would move Guillermo’s case. Incriminating photos involving livestock are involved. Then the police pull up. Esteban’s under arrest for racketeering. They take him away.

Nancy freaks out as Cesar bandages Shane’s arm in the back of Esteban’s moving car. The bullet went through his arm. Shane’s in shock, and a little drunk from the booze they’re giving him. Nancy wants to go to the hospital. Esteban calls his men and tells them to find out who sent the shooter. Cesar says they can’t go because hospitals report bullet wounds and besides, he was a nurse in the army.

They drive over a bump. It was the shooter. Nancy copes by chugging liquor.

Doug tries to sell You’re Pretty cosmetics outside a gym, asking young Nature Scouts for advice. A woman comes up, recognizing his product. She asks Doug if he knows Celia. He says he’s got the same stuff. Good, she says, because she’s out of “eyeshadow.” Then she adds that her husband would kill her if he knew how much she spent on weed.

Doug pauses, asking what she’s talking about. The Nature Scout clarifies: “She thinks you’re selling pot like your friend, you f—- idiot.”

Dr. Alanis Morissette (her character has a name, but who’s keeping score?) bandages Shane’s arm. She gives him Percocet, which Andy immediately breaks into. A series of visitors drops by Shane on the couch in Esteban’s house.

Silas notes that every time he thinks s— can’t get more effed up, s— gets more effed up. Nancy tries to keep from crying. Andy enjoys his narcotics. Esteban tells him no one will be getting inside or near him, then he gives him his watch. Cesar begs him not to tell anyone he was a nurse. “Say ‘medic.’” Nancy apologizes again. “It was bound to happen sooner or later,” Shane says.

She promises him he’ll never get hurt again. He tells her to worry about baby Stevie Ray.

Celia finds Ignacio, her previous coke hook-up, prepping for a Lucha Libre fight. She’s momentarily mesmerized by his cup. They talk business. She needs weed, a steady supply. He agrees to a 20 percent cut.

Ignacio goes to fight as Perro Insano. In case your Spanish is rusty, his dog mask and rabid growling should help translate “insane dog.”

Nancy finds Cesar in the yard. She thinks the bullet was meant for her. She asks who wants her dead. Cesar says “a person who will not stop until she gets what she wants.” He tells her she’d never get close to Pilar. She picks up his gun and aims it at him, suggesting she just go after the person who’s been informing to Pilar instead. He couldn’t go through with it because he realized her death would be the end of Esteban.

She says she’ll forget his momentary lapse in loyalty because he spared her life. But he her hurt kid. She checks that he’s right handed, aims left and tells him to count. On “two,” she shoots him in the arm.

Andy sneaks up on Dr. Morissette rifling through Esteban’s medical supplies. He demands a date for his silence. He suggests hearing some jazz (he cites Dr. Teeth, the Muppet, as a jazz musician). She says no. He asks why she flirted with him at Stevie Ray’s “weenie roast.” She says she was too harsh with him on the date, so she gave him a second look. And that’s when she saw he was hung up on Nancy.

He denies it, but says he’s trying to man up by playing baby daddy. He accuses her of just making excuses. She’s about to leave when Cesar comes in, holding his arm.

Silas checks in on Shane, staring into space in the living room. He hasn’t taken any pain pills yet. He says he likes the way it feels, he doesn’t have to think about anything else. He says it’s great. Silas finds this understandably disturbing.

Dean moves Celia’s stuff into her condo. He admires her steel-lined door, four door locks and video monitored front door. He says she’s “scary good at this.” But he asks how he’d get in. She suggests he develop a secret knock. When he’s in the hallway, she locks the door and calls security on the “sweaty Jew” in her hallway.

Nancy tries to sell Silas on traveling Europe on Esteban’s dime. He leaves tomorrow.

Esteban comes in and tells Nancy he has been replaced as candidate for governor.

Doug confronts Dean, who says Celia forced him to steal their weed. Dean says he got screwed by her, too, they’re in it together. Doug pours himself a nice steaming cup of coffee. First they have to get even. He tells Dean to whip ‘em out and dunk ‘em. And no prepping first, “flaccid in the acid.”

Dean only tries to argue for a moment, then realizes he’s stuck. He dunks in man bits.

Nancy tries to convince Esteban to fight Pilar, but he says there’s no point. She won. Now they can get married. He can’t put her or her family in any more danger. She asks if he’d win if it wasn’t for her. He says yes. She tells him to do it.

Silas finds Nancy and Esteban poolside and tells them he doesn’t want to go to Europe. Nancy says he has to because Esteban is running as an independent. Silas doesn’t think his brothers will be fine around her. Floating in the pool, Shane refuses to apologize for burping and demands more beer after his is warm.

Instead, Silas says he’ll be moving in.

Andy visits Nancy with paperwork to put Esteban on the birth certificate. Nancy asks if he has a plan. He’s going to go back to the house and chart out the topography his life and call a girl who calls him on his s—. He sees that Nancy loves Esteban and is “going down a road.”

He kisses her sweetly on the cheek. They tell each other they think they’re happy for the other.

Andy’s skipping the wedding.

Esteban and Nancy get married in the kitchen with Ignacio (in a powder blue tux) and Silas and Shane as witnesses. The cake is Entennman’s.

Nancy visits Guillermo, her old dealer partner and recent life-threatener, in his conjugal visit trailer. She’s there on business. She wants Pilar dead. She brought wedding cake.

A very angry Esteban throws things around his closet, ranting to Cesar about his son being raised as a Jew. He tells Cesar to get rid of all Nancy’s stuff.

At the house, Nancy tries, and fails, to sleep on the couch downstairs, kept awake by all the plinking video games. She takes her pillow and baby monitor up to her room, now Andy’s, wanting the bed. He won’t give. So she climbs in bed at a safe distance.

He turns on the light, checking that she and Esteban are over. He has a few bed rules, but she just wants to sleep. The baby starts crying and she sends Andy to deal with him.

Later, the baby wakes up crying again. She’s going to pump while Andy changes. A few hours later, Andy isn’t happy to be woken up again. “You’re trying to break me, aren’t you?”

Dean, with a black eye, tells Silas and Doug a really really long story about getting lost with their weed in his car and getting ripped off. He claims he’s the victim. Silas punches him.

At the house, Shane is messing around on a guitar when his two groupie chicks walk in. They have some news. It hurts when they pee. It might be nothing, or it might be chlamydia. They check out his nether regions. Andy walks in. He immediately walks out, then walks back in, deciding he needs to interfere. Shane tells him what’s going on. Andy assures him it can be dealt with.

Celia appears to be leading some sort of meditation class, telling unseen an audience to take a deep breath, hold it, then let it out. Cut to her audience, mall workers with lungs full of weed. “So, am I smoking the mascara or the blush?” one customer asks. And yes, they can put it on their credit card – it’ll show up as beauty products. Dean helps her prep for sales, even supplying Cheesy poofs for munchies.

Nancy and Andy wait with Shane in the doctor’s office. “This is great,” Andy says, “no crying, no poop, just a good old fashioned STD scare. This is my wheelhouse.”

Nancy’s a little freaked out her 14-year-old might have VD. Shane swears off sex for ever. He just had a Q-tip stuck somewhere very private. “Cotton-eyed Joe,” Andy says, “we’ve all been there.” He once got a cat hair in his urethra. “Not beastiality, a sleeping bag at Burning Man.”

The doctor comes in with the news. It’s not chlamydia – it’s a yeast infection. Nancy tells Andy to quit being a buddy and be a parent.

Esteban sulks at home over tequila. His handler Pilar stops by, saying she knows what it’s like to love the wrong person. She has a solution. She shows him a photo of a society woman in a magazine.

Nancy and Andy share fruity drinks, talking about parenthood. Nancy’s breasts start hurting from milk, but she doesn’t want to leave her alcohol. She goes to pump in the bathroom, but the pump breaks. She tries for the manual method, but gets nowhere.

She calls Andy, asking him to come to the bathroom.

Silas tries to play ping pong with Doug, who’s inconsolable after losing the business. Celia comes through, gloating about moving out and into an ocean front condo. She says she’s making tons on cosmetics.

Nancy ushers Andy into the bathroom, explaining that she’s engorged. She needs him to suck it out, be the baby. He goes for it and accidentally swallows.

Later in bed that night, Nancy and Andy lay in bed together with a pillow barrier between them. She wakes up to his gentle shaking of the bed. He says he’s engorged, he needs her to suck it out, be the baby.

Nancy thinks it’s too weird, even for them. She wants them to strive for normalcy. The baby cries. She goes for the feeding, leaving Andy to Andy time.

Doug crashes the You’re Pretty seminar. He wants to make a lot of money selling her face chemicals. Raileen ushers him out, quietly agreeing to sell to him if he’ll shut up. And if he buys three full orders, she’ll go out with him.

Esteban gets ready for his date, deciding life’s too short.

Andy gets back in bed after a feeding and goes to sleep.

In the morning, they’re woken up by Esteban walking into the bedroom. Andy points out the pillow wall separating them. Esteban wants to talk to Nancy, but she says Andy can stay. Esteban pulls out a ring and asks her to marry him. Nancy says they’ve had this conversation.

They go outside to discuss. Downstairs, Shane watches them talk in the garden. Andy comes down to spy. He offers Shane $20 to find out what’s going on. Shane goes outside.

Outside, Esteban tells Nancy they can get married now. He tells her about his date last night, with a woman who’s perfect for him politically, but he’s there because he loves Nancy. In the middle of his declaration of love, a man on the sidewalk pulls out a gun and shoots. Esteban pulls Nancy to the ground. Cesar returns fire and hits the man. Then Nancy hears Shane behind her. She turns to see her middle son, hit, holding his shoulder and slumping to the ground.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of Weeds S05E08 – A Distinctive Horn

Nancy sleeps in her hospital bed. The mystery Mexican woman who ruined her marriage plans is standing next to her. She says Nancy’s baby was a mistake, a mistake that would end the career of a promising politician. She says Nancy can either help her or try to stop her, which does she think will work out better?

Celia waits for her new make-up friend Raileen. She tells her no one’s buying the “s—.” “It’s like the Depression out there,” Celia says. “I cannot sell make-up when civilization is collapsing.” “Economic downturns are great for beauty, poor people wear the most make-up,” the cosmetic woman says, calling Celia “C.C.” – the super make-up seller. Celia wants to return what she used, but Raileen says if she does that she’ll go to jail for defrauding the company.

In the hospital, Nancy explains to Esteban that according to Pilar (the mystery woman) and the birth certificate, he is not the father. Nancy tells him to tell Pilar to get bent, and they’ll live happily ever after. But he’s not doing that.

Nancy tells Esteban her family is coming for her. The nurse comes in and Esteban leaves without a word.

“F— it,” Nancy says and fills out the birth certificate.

Doug and Silas go to Dean for help getting their weed back. He’s feeling uncooperative since they left him out of the pot club. Doug explains that’s just because Dean is “cursed with schmuckness.”

Dean tells Silas he’ll help him after he slams Doug’s wang in the drawer. “And then we get the pot back?” Doug says, interested. He just needs a moment to prep. In the meantime Dean needs Silas to sign the power of attorney forms. Dean prepares the drawer. Silas averts his eyes.

Nancy comes home. Shane and Silas contemplate their still-unnamed new sibling while Nancy checks out the Andy-fied house. He has taken over her bedroom. He also just got an interesting phone call from the hospital, inviting him to the new daddy classes. He wonders why she put him as the father. “I’m through playing baby daddy to your kids,” he says. She says she doesn’t have anyone else. “Whose fault is that?” he says.

Celia takes her You’re Pretty contract to Dean, wanting to get out of it. His office is full of the pot club’s weed. He can’t get her out of the contract, but he can get her high. No, she says, she’s clean. But does he have any booze? He hands her a bottle of Scotch.

Celia looks around the office and has a brainstorm. She could sell a lot more make-up if she offered a free sample. “Just tell them you go got robbed by black people,” she says. When he claims they’ll never believe that she counters that they will when they see the bruises — and then slugs him.

In the parking lot of the Ren Mar Women’s Clinic, a newly shaven Andy commends an anti-abortion protester for sticking to his guns. Dr. Alanis Morissette comes out for a smoke wearing a bullet proof vest. She cheerily reminds the protester, Gale, to get back 25 feet. Andy asks her out. She agrees, but how will she know his car? “It has a distinctive horn,” he says.

Nancy answers her door, it’s Lupita the old blackmailing maid. She wants a bedroom, Nancy gives up hers. She’s excited to be near the ocean, maybe she’ll take up surfing again. She offers to teach Shane.

Andy gets about 30 seconds into his date when Dr. Morrisette tells him she’s ready to go home to her pjs and the boxed set of “Friday Night Lights.” She’s passed him in life, she’s a doctor. He’s unemployed, closer to 40 than 30 and can’t even beat Ms. Pac-Man. She leaves, eager to get a ride home in a car with doors that open.

Andy comes home and tells Nancy he’s ready to do the dad thing, for real. He wants a 50-50 stake. And he wants to be involved in the bar mitzvah. “What, he’s Jewish now?” Nancy says. “Reform, but yea.”

He’s not doing it for her, he’s doing it for him. And guess what? The kid’s wet, time to change him. Andy gets to work, demanding the kid have a bris.

Cut (ha ha) to a rabbi performing the snipping ceremony. Later, Dr. Morrisette plays Ms. Pac-Man. Andy gives her crap for being a doctor and playing Ms. Pac-Man. He’s almost inclined to not ask her out again to show her how wrong she was about him. Almost.

At Dean’s, Celia teaches him how to bag weed to go with the make-up. He was impressed with the power of her punch. The share a moment where neither insults the other.

Back at the house, Esteban comes in, not pleased his son is Jewish. He’s finally been named: Steven Ray Botwin. Esteban asks to speak with Nancy.

He tells her it’s unacceptable, their son will be baptized in a church. He says he’s the dad, he’ll decide how his son is raised. She tells him he had his chance. She tells him to get out, her son won’t grow up to be like him, he won’t know him. “He is mine,” Esteban says, holding her wrists tightly. “No, you lost him,” she says.

Andy comes out, holding the baby. Nancy chokes back tears, but looks like she might keep it together when she sees Andy.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of Weeds S05E03 – Su-Su-Sucio

Nancy stares down Cesar in her kitchen. She’s losing. The barking doorbell rings. Cesar is relieved it’s shift change time. Sucio is there to watch Nancy. He’s filthy. “He’s comfortable with his man smell,” Cesar says, “live with it.” (Fitting, since “sucio” means dirty.)

Celia bothers Rudolfo as he tries to write a ransom note. She offers to write it for him, by taking the letter away. He accuses her of undermining him. She denies it, and then changes his orders to a subordinate about who to send out on that night’s recon. Undermining complete.

Andy comes home to Nancy’s and is greeted with Sucio’s gun to the back of his head. Nancy introduces them. Andy attempts a Phil Collins “Sussudio”. It doesn’t translate. Nancy asks how her sister is doing. “She’s looking hot,” Andy says.

When Nancy goes to the bathroom Andy tries to talk Phil Collins with Sucio again and gets a hand to the throat in response. Nancy comes out of the bathroom saying she has to go to the doctor, she’s bleeding. Andy goes with her.

At the doctor’s Esteban comes in, accusing Nancy of being reckless. She suggests perhaps it’s the rough sex she’s been having, alluding to their last encounter. Esteban suggests Andy leave. The doctor does a sonogram and says everything is fine, but tells Esteban in Spanish that the bleeding is her body’s warning, not to stress herself. Esteban tells Nancy: “If I hear you’re not relaxing, there will be consequences.” Andy piles on by sticking out his hand to shake, congratulating him and saying he’ll be a great dad.

Sucio escorts Nancy home. She invites him to use the outdoor shower. Silas is inside. He’s made Nancy coffee, forgetting she can’t drink it. He compliments her profusely. She asks how much he needs. He says he wants to open a totally legit business: medical marijuana. “Like it or not, you’ve made this a family business,” he says. Doug will help. She agrees.

Then Shane comes home (Sucio is told to stand down again), followed by Nancy’s sister Jill. “She banged Uncle Andy,” Shane says. “You didn’t,” says Nancy. “I can do things,” says Jill. She tells Nancy about the pictures Shane took and threatened to show her husband. Jill’s returning Shane. The sisters start accusing each other of various sister transgressions, and Nancy tells her if she’s not going to help then f— off. Then Andy comes downstairs and within 60 seconds Jill has asked him where the bedroom is and suggested they go use it.

Silas and Doug apply for a business license to an elderly prim woman. She goes to ask someone for help and Silas gets super paranoid. A man tells them they can’t approve the license without the signed consent of a law enforcement official.

Jill, Sucio and the Botwins share a family dinner. Jill tells the kids about Nancy dating her teacher, which she denies. Jill tries to get her to admit she slept with him, Nancy accuses her of being jealous he was more interested in her. Then she stops. “I don’t even know why were arguing about this. I was 13, the man was a pedophile.” Nancy excuses herself to go throw-up. Sucio pulls out her chair. No one has explained him to Jill yet.

Asleep in her revolutionary tent, Celia is awakened by a hand clamped over her mouth dragging her out of bed.

Silas and Doug pitch their medical marijuana plan to a local cop. He tells them it’s a wholesome town blah blah blah, and he’s going to want his cut. Flat rate or percentage of sales, their choice. “Can we have a second?” Doug asks, “We’re a little new to this whole extortion thing.” “Take your time,” the cops says, “I’m going to help old Mrs. Spencer cross the street.”

Doug tells Silas when he was on city council he struck a percentage deal with someone who wanted to open a gay bar and he got practically nothing. Then, he adds, he’ll cook the s— out of the books. Silas tells the cop monthly payment, but Doug says he meant percentage. But they’re stuck with it.

Nancy lounges around the house, but Sucio’s filthiness finally gets to her. She drags Sucio to the outdoor shower. He asks for a loofah.

Nancy goes to get it and hears Andy and Jill going at it in the bedroom. She brings the loofah outside, but finds only a pile of clothes and a few drops of blood.

Nancy gets Shane then goes for Jill and Andy, politely letting them finish. She tells them they have to leave, it’s not safe.

Someone wakes Celia up in English. Customs. She’s in Texas on a rundown bus. She was reverse kidnapped.

Nancy piles everyone in the car, but Jill still doesn’t know what’s going on. Nancy tells her she’s f—- up her life in ways she can’t imagine and she doesn’t think she can get herself out of it. Jill picks this moment to rehash old transgressions, including the fact Jill was at both of their parents’ death beds and made all the arrangements without Nancy’s help.

Esteban calls Nancy. She tells him what’s going on and that she’s fleeing. He tells her to get somewhere safe and wait for her call. Jill gets to hear Nancy tell him she realizes he hasn’t decided whether or not to kill her after she has the baby, but she’d like Cesar back.

In the distance, DEA Agent Roy Till watches.

Nancy comes downstairs to see Cesar and his gun sitting at her dining room table. Esteban thinks she needs company. She leaves him a message telling him to call off his goon. Cesar says Esteban hasn’t made up his mind yet. Nancy sees a Jesus bobble-head outside, like the one Guillermo used to spy on her. There’s a note on the bottom.

Shane and Andy sleep on couches as two creepy twins watch them. Their mom, Nancy’s sister, Jill Price-Gray (Jennifer Jason Leigh) makes them some Hot Pockets as she grumbles to herself about Nancy dumping them on her. Her husband Scott comes home and takes the twins.

Nancy gets a pedicure as Cesar stands there uncomfortably. The nail ladies sit him down and put his feet in the dead skin-eating fish tank. She leaves for a bikini wax in back. Cesar gets nervous and follows her, but she’s gone.

Silas and Doug hike through the woods looking for a good place to grow. Silas checks his GPS. He thinks they’ve found the spot. Then he rounds the corner and comes face to face with men with big guns.

Nancy meets with Guillermo in prison. She denies calling the DEA on him. He says he knows she’s a rat and must die. She tells him she’s pregnant. He tells her horror stories of the last pregnant girlfriend and tells her to get her affairs in order.

Rudolfo the hapless revolutionary ransacks his tent, upset that Quinn is gone and he can’t find anything. Celia, decked out in camo gear, tells him he’s better off. He says Celia reminds him of her. She slaps him and he throws her out.

Andy spins Jill a story about Nancy having witnessed a Korean gang shoot-out and needing to lay low, which is why she needs her to keep Shane. She agrees.

Silas and Doug sit hand-cuffed next to a tree. The drug dealer boss goes through Shane’s stuff and finds his clones. He unties the guys, but takes Silas’ clones. All of them.

Andy listens to Jill complain about her husband over many bottles of wine. As she says he doesn’t appreciate anything she does, Andy can relate. He comes close to groping her several times, but backs off. Shane walks in before anything happens. But when he leaves, Andy climbs on top of Jill.

Nancy tells Dean where her will and hidden money are. Silas would become Shane’s legal guardian. Dean doesn’t take her seriously.

Rudolfo comes back to his revolutionary tent to find that Celia has organized everything. It’s like a Container Store in a tent. She’s organized the bullets in descending size order and machetes by blade size. She begs him to let her stay.

Andy and Jill bond over feeling unappreciated, having sex on top of the washing machine. Shane snaps pictures.

Nancy smokes at a sushi restaurant. She orders whiskey and asks the chef what one thing someone leaving the earth should taste.

Esteban walks into his office to find Nancy there. He can tells she’s drunk. He tells her she should be taking better care of his baby. She says there’s no point, she can’t live with that level of stress. He tells her he still hasn’t decided. She takes his gun out of his drawer and tells him to decide. Instead he grabs her by the hair, leans her over the table and either rapes the mother of his child or forcefully asserts his dominance, depending on how Nancy’s vague lifeless impression can be interpreted. Either way, it’s not exactly a group effort, but she doesn’t resist. He tells her she doesn’t dictate the terms of the arrangement. Before she can pull her pants back up, Cesar comes in and tells her it’s time to go.
