those who can´t review trutvA new show premiered on truTV, a comedy called Those Who Can´t. A MA comedy about 3 highschool teachears who hate their students, and try to avoid work as much as possible.
Those Who Can’t is truTV’s first foray into full-length scripted comedy. The half-hour show follows three trouble-making teachers, played by show creators Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy of the Denver-based comedy troupe The Grawlix. More inept than the kids they teach, they’re out to beat the system as they struggle to survive each day on their own terms. Joining them is Maria Thayer (Eagleheart) as the school librarian with an insuppressible passion for life.

Adam Cayton-Holland plays Loren Payton, the Spanish Teacher who wants to be cooler than the students, Benjamin Roy plays Billy Shoemaker, the History teacher who wants to teach the “real system”, Andrew Orvedahl plays Andy Fairbell, the Coach who is as dorky as they come; Maria Thayer is Abbey Logan, the pretty librarian who has to guard the books, Rory Scovel is Principal Geoffrey Quinn, a modern day hippie who wants everybody to get along, and Sonya Eddy plays his assistant Tammy Sherman, who is tough as nails and has a feud with Loren.

As the storyline for Those Who Can´t reads: There are teachers who inspire, enlighten, and challenge us. These are not those teachers.

The premise is better than the resolution so far.

I may not be the best target for this show as it may have been able to steal me maybe two smiles between episodes one and two.
Good things the show has going? The cast is filled with good comedians, and it has Thayer as the librarian.
Bad things? The jokes are a bit overworked and could try and find its footing with more episodes.
