falling-skies-cancelled-renewed-season-three-tntThe list for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012 keeps growing, and today grew by two in the positive side, after Nickelodeon renewed The Legend of Korra, now, TNT renews Falling Skies for season three.

The renewal order for Falling Skies should surprise no one, except maybe it was announced early this time. And the comeback call is for a short ten episode season that will premiere in 2013. The critically acclaimed drama starring Noah Wyle finished its first season last year as basic cable’s top new series of 2011. Currently averaging 5.9 million viewers, the series ranks as basic cable’s #1 summer drama with adults 18-49.

So, basically, it was a given that TNT was to renew Falling Skies for season three. Now it´s official.
