Nancy and the family hang out in the arcade. Andy’s ready to go home. Nancy finds three different ways to give him crap about sleeping with her sister. He thinks she’s jealous. To prove otherwise, Andy helpfully suggests she kiss him. She mentions that she’s carrying another man’s baby.

Finally, that man calls saying it’s safe to go home. It’s Silas and Shane’s first time meeting him. He brought them campaign shirts. He says Sucio mixed his medications; it happens sometimes. “Well, in that case, thanks for giving him a gun and the keys to my house,” Nancy says. Esteban suggests they move in with him. He has a house on this side of the border.

Shane pouts and Silas drags him away. Nancy asks Esteban where all of this is coming from. He got test results. It’s a son and it’s his. He’s feeling all warm and glowy. Goon No. 3, Ignacio, brings in a baby swing. Esteban is acting all lovey dovey and fatherly.

Andy wonders what Ignacio the gorilla thug has that he doesn’t. In response, Ignacio Tasers him. Then he helpfully says he’ll get Andy a towel since he wet himself.

At school, Shane’s teacher hits him up for more weed. He has $4,000 to spend.

At home, Silas is dressed up for business on his way out the door. He says Andy is in the garage, working out. She finds him there, looking like an 80 pound weakling in tight gym shorts and a snazzy red head band. Ignacio thinks he looks like Jamie Lee Curtis in “Perfect.”

As Nancy goes to answer the barking doorbell, Andy finds an old bank book in Judah’s stuff.

Nancy answers. It’s Celia. She recognizes Ignacio as her pusher. Nancy says she can’t stay and tells her about the baby. She says Celia is the opposite of calm. Then Celia asks if the baby’s Andy’s. Cut to Ignacio tossing all her stuff on the lawn. Outside, Agent Roy Till watches from his car.

Silas and Doug try to rent a building, but are shown the curb when they disclose their business.

Nancy fights a losing battle putting together the baby chair. She’s lying on the floor in defeat when Ignacio drags in an unconscious Roy Till. He finds a gun, a knife and brass knuckles on him - and no badge. Ignacio zaps him for good measure.

He says he’s going to drain his blood in the tub and turn his bones into molasses. Nancy zaps Ignacio.

Downstairs, Andy consults with Shane as the “family’s moral center,” asking if it’s OK to impersonate his dead brother to sort of steal money to help the family. Shane tells him his dad’s passport is upstairs. Shane packs up weed for his English teacher and each blesses the others’ sins, although Andy doesn’t love Shane’s plan. “What can I say, I’m a Botwin,” Shane says, “we’re not responsible for anything we do.”

Upstairs, Nancy has both Roy Till and Ignacio handcuffed to the bed. Till more or less confesses to grabbing Sucio since he killed his partner. Roy Till asks which side Nancy’s on and Ignacio says his side, since she made a baby with the boss.

Then Celia comes in downstairs. Nancy leaves the men alone and they start kicking each other - at least until Ignacio notices that Till is aroused. He claims it’s a perfectly normal response to combat. “No, no, that’s not cool man,” Ignacio says, “I don’t want to fight no more.”

Celia wants to live on Nancy’s screened-in porch. Nancy chases her out of the house, lighting matches and tossing them at her feet.

At the bank, Andy takes in Judah’s bank balance: $186,437.96. He tells the teller they got the money when an uncle died. He and his “brother” both and his “brother” spent his on a Ford Econoline when he needed a place to live. The teller says his grandmother has also been adding to it. He asks about the hold on the account. She says she doesn’t know who he is, but she’s been waiting a long time to say her piece to Judah and he’s going to have to come in himself. Andy gives her the sad news.

Shane conducts business with his teacher at school, mocking his crappy car in the process. Shane tosses the drugs in the trunk as his teacher tells him to get in for a ride home. Instead, the teacher leaves the door locked and drives off with a free giant bag o’ weed.

Back in the bedroom, Nancy tries to convince Roy Till to let it go. He tells her she has to choose. Both men plan to kill the other if she lets one go. She doesn’t know what to do, so she consults the Magic 8 Ball.

Silas and Doug bring back their cop extortionist to get the lease signed on their shop in the drycleaning spot.

Andy watches the ocean with the teller. She says Judah was her first love. She agrees to get Andy into the account if he’ll go out with her - as Judah.

Esteban finds Nancy in the hallway, reciting Magic 8 Ball phrases near catatonia. She’s drained from the life or death decisions. Esteban tells her what’s going to happen in there is not right or wrong, good or bad, it just is. He says there’s nothing he won’t do to protect their life and their son. He goes into the bedroom.

Later, there’s the sound of a power tool and Ignacio washes up. Nancy sits blankly in the chair. They go for a walk on the beach. He throws her Magic 8 Ball into the ocean and kisses her belly and she tries to forget that she just allowed a federal agent to die in her bedroom.

Andy puts together the infernal baby cradle, mastering it.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of The Closer S05E04 - Walking Back the Cat

At home, Brenda puts dinner on the table like Suzy Homemaker. Work’s been slow. Fritz comes home to see her efforts with mild horror. He tosses a box in the cupboard, but she sees it. He grimaces, knowing dinner — mashed potatoes and meatloaf — is ruined. It’s Kitty’s ashes. Brenda starts crying when she sees the ashes are in a paper bag. She transfers them to a Ziploc container which she tosses in her purse.

Finally, they sit down to cold dinner. Fritz mentions that if things really are that slow, maybe they could do the FBI a favor. They need to find a guy named Austin Blair - quietly.

At the office the next day she tells Pope about the 26-year-old. She tells Pope it’s a special request, but doesn’t say from who. Then she starts crying - she forgot to take Kitty out of her purse that morning. She takes the container out and puts it on Pope’s desk. Fidgeting, he says she’s too high-ranking to do it, so he’ll send Commander Taylor.

Provenza shows a handsome woman around the squad room, introducing Lauren to the team, including Flynn as “my go-to guy.” She says she’s heard all about him, but he dryly says she’s a complete surprise to him.

Taylor returns with the missing persons file on Austin, reported a month ago by his boyfriend Travis. There was no follow up report because they think Travis just filed it to find out who Austin was sleeping with.

Nobody knows why Brenda wants the info, but they go along.

Provenza introduces Lauren to Brenda, pausing awkwardly while trying to figure out what to call her. Sanchez asks how old she is.

The team reports - his credit card has been used all over and his mortgage payments are current. The coroner reports he has four possible matches.

Brenda and Gabriel go check on the bodies. When the coroner hears the date he went missing and that he’s gay he realizes it was after a circuit party called HelLA (Hell and L.A.- get it?). He gives them some “Gay Culture 101,” explaining that the parties are like gay raves.

The coroner announces he has a match and in walks Fritz and another suit. Fritz is ticked at the missus. Someone from Missing Persons called around to find out why the interest in Austin Blair.

They positively ID the body. “On the bright side,” Brenda says, “at least he’s not missing any more.”

The coroner reports his findings. He had only GHB and alcohol before he OD’d and choked on his vomit. Fritz’s No. 2 asks the coroner for his full report and Brenda smells the case getting away from her.

Back in the squad room, everyone has to sign a form to be temporarily deputized into the FBI so they can learn about the case. Provenza walks back in with Lauren and Flynn tells him about the forms. “But it’s only temporary,” Flynn says, “like love.”

Pope gives Provenza an approving nod over Lauren.

Fritz begins the briefing, which turns out to include no information whatsoever.

Provenza goes to find Lauren in the screening room, where Buzz is supervising her. He says good bye and she says she loved meeting his friends. She plants a wet one on him and sashays out.

Austin’s father, Dr. Blair comes to the squad room. Austin’s his step-son. He thinks Austin’s been arrested again. Brenda tries to ask a few questions but he gets anxious and demands information. Brenda tells him about the OD. He pauses for a moment then says “you people” and walks out. Brenda and Gabriel race after him asking questions, but he tells them to talk to Travis.

At Austin’s house, they keep Travis put while they conduct a search. They find a bag full of cash and bottles of water in the fridge that Tao guesses are laced with GHB. They still haven’t told Travis what’s going on, and Flynn breaks it to him bluntly, that he’s in the morgue. Then they arrest him for drug possession and murder.

Brenda calls Provenza to check in. He tells her everything they found and also about a business card Sanchez found. It’s Fritz’s.

Pope ambushes Brenda in the hall. They’re wondering if Austin might have been a government informant. She assures him she didn’t know that. Pope isn’t happy it seems like the FBI expected them to clean up their mess. Fritz calls Brenda into the hall.

He explains that his team finding him would have jeopardized a major drug deal. Fritz thinks everything is going very well for them, she’s providing them good cover. She thinks it’s an OD, as did the coroner and Austin’s dad, but Fritz suggests maybe she proceed as if it weren’t.

Brenda and Tao interrogate Travis, asking about the $30,000 in GHB and $80,000 in cash. Travis says Austin didn’t use drugs. Brenda takes a hard line with him, until he’s crying and yelling defensively, while seeming genuinely broken up over the loss of his boyfriend. Travis says the night Austin left he said he had a big meeting with his boss in L.A. Travis called his boss, who told him he left with another guy. He didn’t know what to believe. Brenda realizes he’s saying Austin worked for the circuit party, HelLA. His job was selling drugs all over the country for them, Travis says.

Then he mentions his boss, Peter Benjamin, and Fritz and FBI No. 2 tell Buzz to turn off the recording equipment. Buzz tells Fritz he doesn’t work for him, so they shout in her earpiece that she’s done.

At home, Brenda and Fritz argue. She wants in on the Peter Benjamin interview, but he’s giving her tons of guidelines. They’re yelling as Fritz sets out Chinese. “I hate this feeling of not knowing everything you know,” she says. Then she tries another tack, choking up and starting to cry over Kitty. “That is so not gonna work,” Fritz says, and she shuts it down. She asks if he’s using the investigation to get back at her for something. He says his first loyalty is to her.

Then he says he’s going to show her something that she’s going to have to pretend she’s seeing for the first time when she sees it later. He takes out a flash drive from the wire Austin was wearing that night.

They watch the footage from inside the party. In the bathroom mirror, Austin doesn’t look like he’s doing very well, then he passes out.

The next day, they finish watching the footage with Peter Benjamin. Brenda waits about 15 seconds before asking a question, then fishing in her purse to flip on a tape recorder. He pretends he doesn’t know Austin was dealing. He says their doctor treated him with an IV, revived him and he assumes he left fine. Brenda says she has three witness who’ll say HelLA employees dragged him into an alley.

Benjamin’s lawyer objects, saying they didn’t agree to take questions implicating him in anything. Fritz asks to talk to his lovely bride in the hall. He’s not pleased she lied about the witnesses, but she says if they didn’t lie to each other all the time they’d never get at the truth. Her tape recorder beeps. He hears it. She’s in full Brenda Snit Mode at this point and hands him her FBI badge saying she quits and is looking into his death as a murder, which is what Fritz says the FBI wanted in the first place.

Back at the squad room, Tao says Dr. Morales found no puncture marks, which means Benjamin lied about the IV. And he took four times the recreational GHB dose, so someone probably spiked his drink. She thinks someone knew about the wire. They look at his shirt, which was ripped where the wire was. The wire is missing.

They find his keys and they wonder where his car is. Travis says it’s Austin’s dad’s car.

At Dr. Blair’s house, he rushes out to turn off his car alarm and finds Brenda and the team there with a search warrant.

Fritz and No. 2 drop in the viewing room as Brenda talks to the doctor. He says he took the car back from Austin’s house. But he never drove home. Brenda tells him they also searched his office and found supplies for a professional drug lab to make GHB. He says he uses the chemical to clean the wheels of his car.

Gabriel asks if he’s ever heard of Peter Benjamin. Then Brenda accuses him of being in the drug business. She says the LAPD doesn’t care about the drugs, she just wants to know who killed Austin.

He says Austin introduced him to Benjamin. They thought they could give the Feds Benjamin and go free but when he told him he wanted out, he threatened them. “So Austin tried to protect you, and you went and got him killed?” Gabriel says.

Dr. Blair says he didn’t know what had happened until Benjamin called him to pick up the car and told him he’d better keep making the drugs or the same thing would happen to him.

Brenda and Frtiz meet in the hallway. They swap her drug dealer for his murderer — and the LAPD gets to keep the cash. As she walks away, Fritz turns to his No. 2 and says “See? Did this not turn out exactly the way I said it would?”

The FBI men go get Dr. Blair and arrest him for a whole mess of stuff.

Back in the squad room, Provenza gives her the evidence bag full of cash. Travis waits in her office. She gives Austin’s things to Travis, including the cash. She says they can’t prove where the money came from. He gives it back but she tells him it’s not disloyal to Austin’s memory to take it. He does.

At home, Fritz says he asked her for a favor to take her mind off Kitty. She says if she hadn’t brought him (her) to work, Pope never would have let her look into the missing persons file. They sit in front of the TV and watch one of Kitty’s cat sitting DVDs. He (she) rests in a proper urn on the mantel.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of Nurse Jackie - S01E04 - School Nurse

Jackie watches life go by at the hospital. O’Hara brings her coffee, without even slowing down. Jackie goes to a 7-year-old boy being wheeled in. Cooper dances by the mom, excited that he gets to treat a gunshot. Zoey tries to cover for his medical exuberance in the face of tragedy.

Jackie and Elenor treat the boy, inserting a chest tube to drain blood. Mo Mo holds the boy’s hand, telling him to hang in there.

Dr. O’Hara tells the mom her son’s lung collapsed. She rattles off other possible problems, including brain damage, spinal cord issues… Jackie winces at her bluntness. Zoey hugs the mom.

Jackie talks to her husband. They have some sort of parent-teacher conference they have to go to.

But first, Jackie stares at powder in the bathroom. But it’s just face powder.

She runs into Eddie in the hallway. He offers her a ride. Thanks, but no thanks. She puts on her wedding ring as she walks away.

Zoey and Mo Mo watch the mom and her son, the twin of the victim. Mo Mo says he was a twin, but his brother died when they were one.

Jackie meets her husband at the school. She shows him the socks she bought him on the street. Her phone rings. She grimaces. It’s Eddie. She tells her husband she just lost a patient. They meet with three people, the school nurse and psychologist along with the teacher. They think their daughter has an anxiety disorder. Their youngest walks by the open door and waves. She sees Grace in the hall and tells her their parents are there. Grace is concerned.

Dr. O’Hara tells the twins’ mom that her son is doing very well. She goes to see him and her other son wraps O’Hara in an immobilizing tiny bear hug.

Jackie and her husband check out Grace’s drawing. They’re impressed with it, but the teacher points out it has no color. They ask if there are problems at home. The staff tells them Grace circles her desk three times before she sits down, so the planes don’t fall out of the sky. They suggest she see a shrink and get on a low-dose anxiety medicine. Grace walks in, looking glum. Jackie follows the nurse into the hall. She apologizes, but asks if they’re maybe going overboard. The counselor says it’s a big deal.

Outside, Jackie and her husband try to figure out what to do. Jackie thinks she watches too much news. They discuss private school. They don’t end up arguing. Jackie asks him to make tacos for dinner. Jackie’s phone beeps. It’s Eddie saying he’s horny. She looks at the message over her husband’s shoulder while hugging him. She buys a disposable cell phone and gives Eddie the number when she gets back. He gives her pills.

Zoey whines about being shut out of the interesting cases and Jackie leaves her with an old woman. Cooper drops by and smooth talks the patient. Jackie watches, impressed.

O’Hara gives Jackie grief over leaving her alone with the kid and his sticky fingered gratitude. He brings her a drawing and she does her best to seem appreciative. Jackie looks at it, it’s full of bright colors and sunshine.

Jackie hears a beep and finds that Zoey’s old woman has died. She tells her it’s never easy, and when it is, it’s time to quit. Both of Jackie’s cell phones start ringing as she tries to have a somber moment at a dead patient’s bedside. She answers both with a “can’t talk, love ya.” Cooper walks by, loudly celebrating his exciting gun shot wound victim. Zoey wants to put eyebrows on the elderly woman, who worried before about not being made up.

Mo Mo sings to the injured twin at his bedside.

Jackie looks at her daughter’s gray drawing. She takes out a highlighter and draws in a bright sun. “There, was that so hard?” she says.

brotherhood-gets-cancelled-by-showtimeWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows for this season. And although it´s not official that Brotherhood  gets cancelled
Things hadn´t looked good for Brotherhood for a while… and everything was pointing towards Brotherhood being cancelled for good

And now, Brotherhood is cancelled by Showtime… I liked the show though…

News that the ax had officially dropped was first reported when TVShowsonDVD.com discovered that the season-three discs were to be branded “the final season.” Circa May, the network declined to confirm or deny the show’s future (or lack thereof).

Brotherhood is an American television drama series created by Blake Masters. Produced and almost entirely written by Masters and Henry Bromell, the series was broadcast by the premium cable network Showtime in the United States. Brotherhood premiered on July 9, 2006 and ended on December 21, 2008. The show consists of three seasons and 29 episodes.

Set in Providence, Rhode Island, where it also was produced, the series revolves around the Irish-American Caffee brothers and their friends, family and colleagues. Tommy (Jason Clarke) is a local politician; Michael (Jason Isaacs) is a professional criminal involved with New England’s Irish Mob.

Brotherhood received widespread critical acclaim—with critics particularly praising Masters and Bromell’s nuanced writing and the central performances of Clarke and Isaacs—but did not attract a large audience. The show won a Peabody Award.

What is Brotherhood About? - Plot

Brotherhood was created by New England-native Blake Masters. Prior to creating the series, Masters made a living selling screenplays to film studios; however, he never got an original project produced. Brotherhood was initially conceived as an idea for a feature film; the premise was inspired by the real-life Bulger brothers from Massachusetts: William M. Bulger was a prominent state politician and his brother, James J. Bulger, was the alleged leader of the Irish-American crime family Winter Hill Gang. After some input, Masters decided to adapt it into a television series, reasoning that “the dynamic between the brothers was sustainable and compelling.” Masters presented the idea to premium cable network Showtime, who were immediately receptive and financed the production of a pilot episode. After the pilot had been shot, it was shown to the Showtime executives, who ordered an entire season. Because of Masters’ inexperience in producing television, Showtime executives asked him to find someone to help him spearhead the project. Masters, a fan of Homicide: Life on the Street, suggested Henry Bromell, who had previously worked on Homicide as a writer/executive producer. A meeting was arranged between Masters and Bromell through Showtime. Bromell was impressed with the pilot and accepted Masters’ offer to join the production crew.

Are you upset That Brotherhood gets cancelled by Showtime?

We open with Sookie, Bill and Jessica leaving Jessica’s house. Bill is furious at Sookie for taking Jessica there and the couple gets in a fight. Sookie leaves the car and walks down the road. She hears a noise behind her and sees a strange-looking creature with horns. The creature catches Sookie and rips into her back with its claws, knocking her to the ground. Bill comes to her side after the creature has left. Sookie is unable to move and begins frothing at the mouth when Bill has her drink some of his blood. Jessica drops them off at Fangtasia.

Daphne comes up short after her shift. Sam is furious and makes her pay the difference. Tara walks in the office and the two argue about Maryann. Sam tells her to be wary of Maryann.

Sookie, who has a three-clawed scratch mark down her back, is worked on by a Dr. Ludwig. The “doctor” says Sookie has been poisoned.

In the other room Bill tells Eric about the creature. Sookie told him it had the head of a bull. Eric sends Pam and Chow to look for any signs of the creature.

Ludwig pours some kind of acid into Sookies wounds, then pulls out what looks like a nail.

Still at the conference, Jason has a nightmare in which the vampire he saved (Eddy) climbs into bed with him and bites him. He tells God that he feels lost.

Ludwig removes the poison and Bill is able to give Sookie some of his blood. Pam and Chow return and tell Eric they found human tracks but that the scent was “distinctly animal.” Bill will wait at the bar for Sookie to fully recover.

Maryann is planning for a huge party. Tara asks Maryann why Sam might hate her. Maryann tells Tara he is jealous of Maryann. They light up a joint.

Sam is leaving town and asks Terry to watch the bar for him while he’s gone. Terry is angry that Sam is running away. “Remind me never to get stuck in a foxhole with you. Coward.”

Jason shares his tale of saving Eddy during a vampire victim counseling session at the conference. He doesn’t think he fits in with the rest of the group and walks out of the building. Sarah follows him and tells him that she had supported vampire rights before her sister was killed by them. Jason thinks he didn’t do enough to save Gran or Amy. Sarah thinks “God needs you” and the two pray together. Jason appears to be falling for Sarah.

Sookie wakes up in the bar. Ginger brings her a sandwich and Sookie reads her thoughts. She discovers that Lafayette is in the basement and has Ginger take her to him. They find Lafayette (who has not been turned to a vampire) chained up and looking terrible.

Tara and Eggs talk during Maryann’s party. Tara is late for work and decides to blow off her shift. It seems the relationship is taking off.

When Bill surfaces Sookie tells him about Lafayette. Eric explains that Lafayette traded sexual favors to sell blood which is a “grave offense.” Sookie demands Eric release Lafayette. He tells her “perhaps we can come to some sort of arrangement.”

Sam leaves Tara a voicemail when she doesn’t show up for work. He tells her to keep her eyes open and “take a good look at the people around you.” Arlene comes in to cover for Sookie and Sam is particularly pleasant with her. He stares wistfully at a picture of Sookie above the bar.

Jessica awakes to find the house empty. She goes to Merlotte’s and meets a man named Hoyt. They hit it off quickly and Hoyt is excited to hear she is a vampire.

Eric says he will let Lafayette go if Sookie goes to Dallas to look for the missing vampire. Bill convinces Eric to let him accompany her and Lafayette is released.

Maryann’s party starts to get randy as Andy arrives. He spots a huge hog in a miniature house in the yard before telling Maryann she needs to turn the music down. He asks about a livestock permit for the pig, but when Andy turns back around the animal has vanished. Maryann hands him a beer and convinces him to stay.

Andy has dinner with Sarah and Steve. Steve explains that there is a war going on. “You’re either on the side of darkness or light. There is no in between.” Steve tells Jason that God has big plans for him.

Jessica takes Hoyt back to Bill’s house. They sit on the couch and begin to make out. Jessica is embarrassed when her fangs come out but it doesnt seem to bother Hoyt. He tells her he really likes her and she jumps on top of him.

Sookie and Bill drop Lafayette off at his house. He limps into his place and immediately falls onto a couch and covers himself up with a blanket. On the way out Sookie tells Bill she is having doubts about vampires. Bill convinces her that vampires, like humans, are capable of both good and evil.

Tara and Eggs are getting close in a hot tub next to Maryann’s pool. A topless girl hops in and starts giving Eggs a shoulder massage. During this Tara takes a close look at the rest of the party and sees how amorous the gathering really is. Seeing Eggs enjoying his massage a little too much she leaves in a huff and goes into the house. Several party goers are drinking a liquid and their eyes are turning black. Eggs follows Tara and she tells him “there is no ‘us’ if this if your scene.”

Sam decides to go for a run with a local dog before leaving.

Sookie and Bill return home to find Jessica and Hoyt going at it on the couch. Bill tosses Jessica aside and glares at Hoyt.

The dog Sam jumps off a dock into some water and turns to his human form. The other dog will not follow. Out of nowhere Daphne appears, telling him she can’t sleep and is trying to cool off. She decides to join him in the lake. When she takes off her shirt we see that she has the same scratch on her back that Sookie got from the creature.

M & M visit Eddie. They’ve got good news and bad news. He’ll be allowed to visit Miles at a neutral location, but the contact info for his wife is no good. Her phone has been disconnected and she moved. He can’t believe that she’d do this. To top it off, Mary has to take his picture of his kid.

Mary promises Eddie they’ll find her.

Back at the office, they search for Caroline Fogerty, the oncology nurse. They’ve found no divorce paperwork, no custody papers… Eleanor walks over and Stan invites her to show them what she’s got, “hon.” The needle skips and everybody pauses to take in the cutie pie name, which Eleanor tries to pass off as a friendly salutation. Then she says she found no birth certificate for Miles. Which can only mean one thing. “He’s Amish,” Mary suggests. That, or he doesn’t exist.

Mary visits Eddie, who at first doesn’t believe she’s serious and then, when he realizes she is, he starts hyperventilating and crying. Mary appears to believe they might exist.

Brandi walks by a homeless man on the street and sees him shaking. She asks him if he needs help.

At the office, Mary reports that Eddie believes he has a son. They think they’re dealing with a mental health issue. Dr. Shelley Finkel, the psychologist who helped Mary after her kidnapping, drops by.

On the street, Brandi tries to get an ambulance to come for him, but it’s taking forever. She lifts him to his feet and he tells her to go. She flags a car.

The shrink sees no mental health issues in his files and suggests they check him for a brain tumor. At the hospital, they find nothing wrong. Shelley tells Mary they have to be delicate, since the delusion might be the only thing holding Eddie together.

Shelley meets with Eddie, asking him his wife’s maiden name and lots of other small details.

Marshall checks missing persons, but finds nothing. He finds that Eddie was telling the truth about his in-laws. Marshall called them and they confirmed she’s an oncology nurse who was married to a guy named Ed Fogerty. She just moved to Seattle.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Brandi waits in the hospital waiting room with her new homeless friend. He’s Native American and she can’t understand what he keeps repeating. The nurse finally takes him back when Brandi claims he’s having chest pains.

At the office, Marshall has spoken with Ed’s ex. She and Ed met on a cruise, got married on the Panama Canal. The marriage lasted six months and there is no Miles. She has blue eyes, just like Eddie. Marshall and newly single Shelley share a dork moment explaining that the kid in the picture had brown eyes and couldn’t be theirs.

Mary, Marshall and Shelley talk to Ed. He looked up Shelley on-line and is mad they’re treating him like he’s crazy. He says he needs to go think, but instead he takes off running. They lose him.

At the office, Stan has the transcript of a 911 call Ed made to report a missing person. Stan gets a call.

There was a sighting of Ed out in the middle of nowhere. They go there. Mary hops on an ATV and peels out, leaving Marshall and Shelley to dork out together.

She asks him out. “I’m flattered, but I’m in the middle of a man hunt,” he says.

Mary calls. She found a trail and some disturbed rocks. She looks over the small cliff and finds Ed crumpled on the ground below.

She runs down to him. His ankle is hurt. He says he saw Miles at one point, but then he fell and hurt his ankle. She asks what he was wearing and Ed describes the same clothes from the photo.

Marshall and Shelley head back to Stan and call for a helicopter.

Night has fallen in the desert and Ed explains the stars to her. He says something is all his fault. She asks what and he says what happened to the boy in the picture. Mary walks Ed through the two-blue-eyes-can’t-make-brown explanation. Ed says he doesn’t know who the boy in the photo is, but he can show her where he’s buried.

Chicago, one day later Search teams comb a park. Ed watches on crutches. They’re two hours in and nothing. And then they find two bodies, but Ed has completely shut down and won’t talk at all.

Shelley explains that Mary has to make Ed understand his new reality. She talks to him, asking him how it began. He was working in the stockyard and he heard noises from a container. They’re not supposed to open them, but he did. He found “Miles” and two others. One must have been his mother because she had his picture. He buried them. He didn’t leave his apartment for two weeks, he stopped eating. He says he would have died if Miles hadn’t come along.

At the hospital, the nurse tells Brandi they found a blood clot, she saved his life. They brought a translator in. He’s Navajo and someone from the tribal council is coming to get him. The phrase he kept repeating means “healing spirit.” Brandi gathers her things to go. She sobs.

Back at Ed’s Albuquerque home, Mary tells Ed they found the guys who were doing the human smuggling. She got him a new house, one with a good view of the night sky. He looks through his new telescope. “It’s amazing what you can see when you open your eyes,” he says.

At the office, Marshall’s working late. Mary pries for date information. He and Shelley went to coffee. She was telling him about her year of singlehood after breaking up with her depressed ex, and then the ex called, crying. So much for that.

Mary brings out her office booze and pours them some. “You’ve still got me,” she says.

Complete Recap and Spoilers of Hung - Pilot S01E01

In the pilot of this new HBO dramedy we meet Ray Drecker (Thomas Jane). Ray is a high school history teacher and basketball coach.

He tells us in voice-over that everything in his life is falling apart. As he speaks we see the rundown place Detroit has become from car graveyards, closed factories, and boarded up buildings. He talks about how sad this crazy world would’ve made his ultra-normal midwestern parents.

Part of his terrible life is his losing basketball team. In the locker room of West Lakefield High School we see him try to inspire his boys by showing them a photo of a dung beetle carrying around his ball of dung. He instructs the boys that dung happens but that it needn’t be carried with them everywhere they go like the dung beetles. He tells them to go out on the court and pretend they’re on a winning streak they’re starting tonight. (As pep talks go, it’s kind of depressing.) As the team takes the court, Ray crumples, he tells his assistant coach that’s he’s passing kidney stones and that he’ll take himself to the hospital.

He’s not going to the hospital though. We watch as he runs around the school to his Jeep and watch him drive to Detroit. He explains that he doesn’t make much money as a teacher and that desperate times call for desperate measures. He’s going to Detroit to do his side gig which utilizes his unorthodox skill set. He voices over that we’re seeing the first day of the job as he walks down a hotel hallway.

He explains he’s in this hallway because the last couple of years have been really rough.

First he got divorced from his high school sweetheart Jessica (Anne Heche) - who then married an odious, but wealthy dermatologist named Ron Haxon. His kids- heavyset teenage boy/girl twins- wanted to stay with him but he was forced to move into his parents old house on the lakefront. Then he got kidney stones, then his team started a losing streak, then an evil man named Koontz moved into the McMansion next door and started hassling him about his lawn and gutters.

Then the worst thing happened. As we look around the inside of the house at family photos, trophies, and newsclippings we’re also shown many overloaded circuits. A cord under a living room chair starts to smoke. And where there’s smoke, there’s fire and we see his living room go up in flames and all of his life with it. He is sleeping upstairs. His son awakens him.

Outside the house Ray is distraught that he doesn’t know where his daughter is. She rolls up in a SUV piloted by a boy named Hammer. Ray yells at her for being out after curfew and not answering her cell phone. They hug and look at the ruins of their house. He notices his son is wearing lipstick.

Instead of going to a hotel- Ray let the insurance lapse- he proposes the family pitch a tent on the property while they rebuild. The kids are not down with this and leave him for their mother. Ray ponders what happened to his life. He re-enters the burned out remains of his house, looking through the hole burned clear through both floors. Later while covering the hole with a tarp his evil neighbor Koontz offers “help” and tells him the house is a great candidate for a tear-down. Ray tells him to get off his property.

Ray voices over that he needs help and goes to Jessica and Ron’s house to ask for a loan. (We get a flashback of Ray and Jessica screaming at each other 2 years earlier during the pinnacle of their break-up. She screams about being the homecoming queen and buying into the fairytale of marrying the king jock. She says he used to be the king: beautiful, talented, smart, popular and hung and concludes that now he’s just hung). She’s appalled he wants to borrow money. Ron approaches and gives condolences on the house and offers to remove a mole Ray has free of charge.

She informs him the kids are staying with her permanently. He tells her to forget it and leaves.

As he sits in his car contemplating his lot in life he notices a “Wealth Whiz” seminars brochure in the passenger seat. He goes to the “unleash your inner entrepreneur” seminar. The teacher tells the class that the “tool” to their success is in them. Ray recognizes a mousy woman in class, Tanya Scagle, (Jane Adams). She had been a visiting poet in his class and we flash back to him hooking up with her- quite successfully judging by her screams. He says he never called her back.

Tanya catches up with him after class. He asks her out for coffee and they end up banging again and she screams as forcefully about how large and satisfying his unit is.

After the sex she reads a poem. He tells her he has to leave, we do not get a glimpse of his love gun as he puts on his jockey shorts. She bitches about him being cold and distant and he tells her not to act all wounded and mystified that a man doesn’t want to get to know her after she hopped right in the sack with him. He says she remembered what she liked and got what she wanted, pointing out how often she climaxed. She gets angry with him and says he’s no genius in bed. As she leaves she yells from her balcony that if he wants to be a millionaire he should market his dick.

He knows she meant it as an insult but he thinks this is a good idea and does Internet research on how to make money with a large penis in his tent later that night. His son David shows up and asks for 50 bucks. He wants to camp out for Godhead tickets. Ray’s confused about the goth thing. He’s worried his son is gay. He doesn’t give him the money. David takes off. Ray is sad.

Back in millionaire class he’s listening to people offer up their ideas. Tanya talks about wanting to make “lyric bread”- putting poems inside of baked goods. The teacher likes it. Ray kindly says she’s got a winner.

The teacher asks Ray what his winning tool is. He says he’s figured it out, but doesn’t know how to market it. The teacher wants him to pitch it. Ray is uncomfortable doing that. He blurts out that he’s got a big dick and asks what to do with it. He monologues about his crappy life and says he’s at a precipice and his big dick is all he’s got. This turns out to have been a fantasy and in voice over he tells us that what he actually said was that he was good with old cars and wanted to be a mechanic.

In voice over he tells us that that night he bought a pre-paid cellphone and a box of condoms. He put an ad in the Detroit Examiner and put a picture with the online version. He gets a call for his first date and we cut back to him standing in the hotel hallway.

He knocks on the door. A woman comes to the peephole and pushes out a note saying she was sorry and she changed her mind. He gets mad and kicks the door, then apologizes and says to forget it. She pushes a fifty under the door with a note that says “for your trouble.”

Later he stands on the dock outside his tent, sad. Tanya shows up. She’s brought him a Neruda cranberry-walnut bread. She says she’s been concerned that he hasn’t been coming to class. He shows her his ad and his theory about his winning tool telling her it was Tanya who gave him the idea. She goes pretty quickly from calling him pathetic to explaining that his problem is his ad and that she could help him sell himself better. She offers to do just that for a percentage. He realizes she wants to be his pimp. She says yes.

The next day Ray catches up with David in line for Godhead tickets and gives him the fifty. David tries to turn it down saying Ron gave him money. Ray tells him to spend that on something else, he wants to help buy the tickets. David takes it.

We watch Ray drive away voicing over that he felt pretty good for the first time in a long time.

diddy-alive-not-deadDon’t believe the rumors: P Diddy is “alive and well.”

The Internet exploded today with rumors that The King of Rap had died today, following all the media frenzy after Michael Jackson death and Farrah Fawcett death.

After a series of tragic celebrity deaths this week – including Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon – it was perhaps more shocking for P Diddy fans to read the following Tweet on his account tonight, accompanied by a Twitpic of a cross:

Diddy has passed today. It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.

Both the Tweet and the Twitpic were quickly deleted, but services like Tweetmeme have archived the evidence (below), proving that the message did indeed make it to Diddy’s account. Although clearly a hack that’s been quickly cleared up, it’s not yet clear how the perpetrators gained access to the account.

Remember Britney Spears death and Ellen Degeneres death were also rumoured today in another fake hack.
