We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
And in this case ABC Family, who recently picked up three new pilots, is delivering bad news to Huge Fans.
Huge is cancelled by ABC Family in its first year, after a first season 10 episodes order, and passing on a backseason pick up order of 10 more.
We cannot say that ABC Family cancel on Huge is a surprise, since the series based on the young adult novel by Sasha Paley, “Huge” was not doing quite well in the ratings department this summer, averaging 1.9 million viewers.
What is Huge About? Plot
Huge is an ABC Family network television series based on young-adult novel of the same name by Sasha Paley. The hour-long drama series revolves around eight teens sent to a summer weight-loss camp called Camp Victory. Winnie Holzman (creator of My So-Called Life) and her daughter Savannah Dooley wrote the pilot. The series has been described as Glee meets Ugly Betty. (Unfortunately I have to disagree with both parts of the statement, but meh)
Casting began in January, with production beginning in April 2010. The series premiered on June 28, 2010 at 9 p.m. with 2.53 million viewers.

This sucks royally. I loved this show. It’s one of the very few shows I bother to follow and I watched it weekly on Hulu. Are they paying attention to the numbers through websites like hulu and fancast or are they ignoring those who like to watch the show while browsing websites and checking email?
