??We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
And tonight is the first casualty of the newcomer shows of the fall.
Fox cancels Lone Star despite great reviews, but based on poor poor ratings.
This should not be a big surprise since the show got lousy numbers ever since the beggining, and after only airing two episodes, Lone Star gets cancelled by Fox.
Lone Star got off to a disastrous start last week, averaging just over 4 million viewers. The depressing numbers prompted series creator Kyle Killen to pen an open letter to fans urging them to tune in for episode 2. “For Lone Star to survive we’re going to have to pull off a minor miracle,” he wrote. “Statistically, new shows tend to lose viewers in their second week. We’re aiming to gain them. In fact, screw it, let’s just double our audience.”
Lone Star cancellation brings the new season of Lie To Me to a sudden start, since the show was not scheduled until January, but it will have to jump right into Monday Nights, in order to fill the void left by Lone Star, and hoping to keep some of House MD numbers.
Only two episodes aired of Lone Star prior to cancellation, but there are three more ready to go, and one with the principal photography missing; but there´s still no news on what will happen to those unaired episodes.
