the-rosie-show-own-cancelled-renewedMore information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And after I posted an enormous amount of articles about shows getting renewed, well, it´s also time to tell you about a cancellation. In this case, a talker goes. OWN cancels The Rosie Show during its freshman run.

The talker premiered last October to a little shy of half a million viewers, and then dropped the average to nearly one hundred thousand less in that month, but averaged this March a little bit over two hundred thousand. That´s very meager and forces The Rosie Show to get cancelled by OWN.

Oprah Winfrey herself released a statement thanking “Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey”, but it appears that all Rosie gets is a thank you card, and The Rosie Show cancellation.

What was The Rosie Show About?

The show covers current events, highlights hometown heroes and newsmakers, showcases art, discusses important issues and celebrates children. The daily show also features comedy and game segments (a staple of her first talk show) as well as celebrity guests and performances by recording artists, both well-known and up-and-coming performers.

The last episode is scheduled to air Friday March 23.

What do you think? Are you sad OWN cancelled The Rosie Show?
