UPDATE: Heroes is likely getting cancelled. The same Greg Grunberg who was so optimistic a while ago twitted about Heroes getting cancelled. Albeit he did it in a semi cryptic way:

We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
So… if the fat lady is about to sing… that probably means Heroes gets cancelled.
But, a Heroes movie can be in the making.
And this one is not an official announcement, but a statement from Greg Grunberg, one of Heroes Stars.
According to Michael Ausiello, Greg Grunberg told him on the People´s Choice Awards that Heroes is renewed for a fifth season,
Greg Grunberg told Ausiello: “We wrapped yesterday and the [final episode] is nowhere near a series finale, It is cliffhanger-y and exciting, but it is nowhere near an end to a series that people are so invested in. It does not tie everything up in a neat bow… I don’t have any doubt that the show will be back.”
So… it doesn´t matter if ratings aren´t the best… DVD sales, and international audiences are steadily good, so Heroes is renewed.
But, according to Vulture, NBC is cancelling Heroes instead of giving it a new fifth season run. However, the show could get a two or four hour movie wrap up to give the show a closure, in some sort of a Heroes fifth season renewal in a different format.
Apparently, NBC has five nice bets for this season, one of them J.J. Abrams new show, hence making Heroes as a backup plan a waste of money… 5 million hardcore US based fans, and International fans may be the saviors and make NBC gather the money for a two or four hour movie that can close the story and turn into the swan song for Heroes.
Are you happy that Heroes will be renewed for a fifth season according to Greg Grunberg? Or do you trust Vulture when they say it´s cancelled? Would you watch a movielike finale for Heroes?
While Heroes may have been cancelled the full box set has had a DVD release so both old fans and new can relive all the series.

i love heroes, i have all four season’s and all five volumes; which are the same. heroes was a great show; an when they cancelled it it would have alittle okay but they left us which us with the worse cliffhanger imaginable; everyone finally finding out about Claire rapid cell regeneration, an leave it like that. what happen’s to sylar, does peter an Emma hook up? what’s up with the carnival? all im saying is that i would give my left arm to see this show again on NBC, it was the only reason i watched NBC; well besides “chuck”. well i have to go for now… i hope you guy’s are putting you heads together… because we all need HEROES to come back.
Please for the love of god put this show back on the air. I can’t believe that they would leave us with such a cliff hanger. Does anyone know if theirs a comic base series on heroes that maybe continues to show what happens in the brave new world??? I would even consider reading a comic to see what happens and I’m 33!
I been buying each season because i like them so much that I figured my 3 year old will like I did that when he is older. Can’t believe its being cancelled. Its the best show ever!! If they get cancelled it will be one of those shows people wished had more seasons….and will remember all the cast like the original star trek.

They seriously need to bring this show back even if it’s in a movie to give it an ending. There’s very few good shows out there, and Heroes was one of them. I guess ppl now a days would rather watch reality drama smh. People are still wanting NBC to bring this show back for a while now that should count for something. I’ve watched every single episode from the start and it just sucks that out of nowhere it gets cut off, they seriously need togive it a quick ending before they cut off shows like that ! I don’t care what they do, but I hope they get something out soon. I just watched every episode of heroes in the past 5 days. I always wanted to watch when it first came out, but never had time. My friend just handed me the first season on dvd a few days ago, and I had a few days off so it worked. I don’t know why these idiot higher ups don’t know how to keep a good show. It seems like I always get into shows after there supposed to be cancelled anyway. I think it’s time they realize that alot of people don’t even watch tv anymore. I have this magical thing called netflix I normally turn to. I mean shoot, yeah your ratings dropped, but I just now got into it and if they finish it and come out with a compete collection, I’ll buy it. Give me a finish.
I would like to agree with so many ppl on here the ratings did drop there was ups and downs but that is no reason to just end the show like it was cause it leaves it still all open clair jumping then it saying to be continued yea a movie or something should be released wrapping up all the loose end as Noah Bennet would say lol but serioulsly how would the producers feel if they werent producers and they were the fans and we the fans (producers) just ended a good show like that bascially im sayin how would it be the other way around ,but yes i really enjoyed the show thought bout buying the seasons on dvd but after a “finale” like that no way not until there is a conclusion and u know thats one thing a movie,show, or story has is a conclusion and that good ppl is not a conclusion

Must be nuts, the first season was excellent with a damp squib of a finally, the 2nd series too slow and then they lost the plot completely.
Ridiculous plots, too much time travel etc. Really wasnt going anywhere and had no real story arc.
How they ruined what could have been great I dont know. Writers totally to blame.

I love Hero’s I think they should make another season not just for my enjoyment but for millions of others, It will also make very much money. Continue Heros!!
Whoever is in charge of NBC, needs to be slapped for canceling a good show. After doing some research, it seem that over the years Heroes has become one of the most wanted shows to watch. Why cancel it, because now they will more then likely have to pay the actors more money, based of the demand. We as the people want our characters back in action.
Bring back Heroes. Please.

This sort of “premature ejaculation” seems to be common among TV series producers.
This is why I generally wait to watch a series until it is completed and don’t watch network television with all its advertising. I find a series I want to watch, like this one, search for the series name with “cancelled” and look for comments that say the ending left people hanging. If I find those, I don’t waste my time on the series no matter how good it was supposed to be.
For example, I didn’t watch Stargate SG-1 until the last movie came out, and I refused to watch Stargate Universe at all because it’s another incomplete series. I watched Battle Star Galactica after it was finished, but not Caprica due to the premature cancellation. I would very much like to see many shows finished, but I don’t feel cheated by the incomplete ones because I learned my lesson with Sliders and never watched a TV series before it was finished ever again.
If you’re tired of being screwed by cancellations, send a message by being another late adopter of new shows. Sure, it means you don’t get to chat about the latest show at work the day after it airs, but it also means you don’t waste your life on entertainment products that can’t deliver a solid ending. Viewers determine the behavior of TV series producers. Stop rewarding their bad behavior. Refuse to watch anything else they crank out until they start finishing what they start once again.

heroes is the best series i ever watch in my life but when i took at a sneak peek at the end (*SPOILER ALERT*)
i saw that claire jump off and everyone knew who they were and syler was a good person now i think
so what kinda point of making heroes season 5 if thiers no more villians it will be stupid if syler become an enemy again like seruisly though
also at the end of that episode it said
‘END OF VOLUME 5′ i was like waa!!
then it said
‘VOLUME 6′ I WAS like waa!! so idk i saw it on netflix on the ps3 i got really confused when they said end of volume 5 then goes to 6 so thier is no point to continue its finish and idk y they said at the

Me and my family are hooked on Heroes people are retarted to leave a show just hanging like that i would pay for the DVD if they make the next season. Its something that brings a family together and makes a point and i would go through hours of READING just to read what happens. like why was it cancelled it has enough viewers or at least now it does right? Like seriously can shows just drop like that because if i was NBC i would keep it on for all the people that connect and come together as a family to see this show. I would at least WATCH heroes and give it a chance like why would they do that when claire EXPOSES HERSELF AND EVERYONE!!!
