When Sundance gets involved it usually means good things, and now that Creative agency Option-G has developed a new collaborative animated video series entitled DreamStates for sundancechannel.com things are starting to look good for this project that will feature musicians Questlove (The Roots) and Mike Gordon (Phish), actor/comedian Will Forte (“Saturday Night Live”), actress Malin Akerman (Watchmen, Couples Retreat) and writer/documentarian Sebastian Junger (The Perfect Storm, Restrepo). Each episode is 2-3 minutes in length and the dreams recounted by these creative innovators run the gamut of bizarre, funny, powerful and shocking. All of the episodes are as visually stunning as the stories themselves.
Spoilers from DreamStates Sundance Channel web series episodes
Questlove: Questlove recalls the only dream he can ever remember and it’s always in black and white. In this non-linear dream, Questlove is at 30th St. Train Station in Philadelphia, he’s about to fail out of school and he is faced with the pressure of having to create a new theme and animation for Soul Train.
Will Forte: In Will Forte’s episode of DreamStates, Will is being relentlessly chased by a giant Icelandic puffin. The puffin chases Will from the big city to the ski slopes of Squaw Valley and never backs off – he just can’t seem to shake the puffin until they finally meet face to face.
Malin Akerman: Malin hears her mother get killed and then she is stabbed by the killer until “everything goes black”. After “awakening” – she is faced with the choice of saying goodbye to her father or heading towards the “light”. Along the way she gets some help and guidance from old family and friends.
Sebastian Junger: Sebastian recalls how, while embedded with troops in Afghanistan, the “dream state and reality would get often blended together”. In his very profound dream – Sebastian is being attacked by evil “bubble monsters” that just keep coming and won’t stop – with no end in sight.
Mike Gordon: In Mike Gordon’s episode of DreamStates, Mike discusses how sometimes when playing live – he gets to a “place” that connects him to one of his “night dreams” where he literally see a “vision” from a recurring dream.

I think it is good to think out side the box and being creative and coming up with your ideas and allowing other people to share you life on a whole nother level is the most giving thing any one in this world can do and if it makes you happy and adds joy to your life then so be it and if it torches another human being life…Then great and it has made it point.
Good luck and your off to a great start and people are taking notice and your a part of History and your creative thoughs has torched a whole group of people and has made its point to a group of people who share those same emotions and feelings. Wish you well!
