USA is bringing a new show called First Impressions; a new weekly, half hour competition series hosted by Dana Carvey and Freddie Prinze Jr. Each week the two of them are joined by a celebrity guest judge who will help decide the outcome.
The series premiere has funny man Steve Carell as guest, while Jay Leno, Kevin Nealon, Yvette Nicole Brown, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz and Kate Flannery are coming in following episodes.

Being a great impressionist himself, Carvey will provide feedback and help mentoring the contestants who will be pitteed against each other for the chance to win a $10,000 prize.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS premieres on Tuesday, May 10 at 10:30/9:30c and will put contestants through a series of challenges to see if they can get the audience to love what they are doing and crown them winners.

It is a long wait we´ve had to Dana Carvey rocking a show. Too long if you ask me. Freddie Prinze Jr as the host is very good but leaves, as is proper Carvey to run things there, after all, Carvey IS the expert in residence when it comes to impressions.

The show has a great Whose Line Is It Anyway vibe, but with Impressions being the focus of the show. It starts with a very well prepared routine by each contestant, but as the episode goes on, each challenge is an improv with the addition of impression.

The contestants on the premiere were all great to kick the show started, with the first one making a great Drew Barrymore, then, the second one introducing spot on Sharon Osborne and Jennifer Coolidge, and the third one with a good Charlie Sheen.

The challenges get more and more difficult in each round. And luckily for us, not only the contestants do it very funny, but also Carvey and the guest judge tell stories and add their own impressions.
