The Hollywood Christmas Parade, a Southern California tradition for 80 years, will be telecast on Hallmark Channel, Monday, December 12 @ 6 p.m.-8 p.m. ET/PT, 5C. This year’s Grand Marshal is Grammy nominated recording artist and actor Marie Osmond (Donny & Marie). Ms. Osmond will be joined by actors and celebrities Faith Ford and Tom Cavanagh, World Champion Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta WorldPeace (formerly known as Ron Artest), popular singer/songwriter Richard Marx, award-winning bands from across the nation, equestrians – including the world-famous Wells Fargo stagecoach, and perennial favorite of the young at heart – Santa Claus, with many more performers to be announced later. The Hollywood Christmas Parade benefits Marine Toys for Tots. Hallmark Channel is the official cable television partner of the charity and has previously announced that in addition to its corporate sponsorship, all of the network’s VIP events will go to benefit one of the nation’s most venerable children’s charities. The goal of Marine Toys for Tots is that through a new toy, a child may find hope in the season, and in life. Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas campaign is about celebrating the timeless traditions of the season. Giving to others is the tradition celebrated in the parade and on Hallmark Channel.

Marie Osmond works so hard and she seems to never take a break and of course…I Do understand she has a family to work for and she works so hard and don’t want the world to foreget her but she seems to never take time off and just stop and smell the roses and…she can sing and dance and do everything she is never ending working woman of the year..I know she can sing her butt off and she is really pretty and small and sweet and kind and thoughtful and wonderful mother and…We the people all over the world truely love her and what ever she does is going to be magic.
I think people really love the Osmonds! Because this people have always been a big part of are lives and also it is like they are family and this people have been working forever and ever and there career has been so amazing and to see there joy and share there moments in life is priceless and something rare and really sweet and warm but to see there love and this means they really love what they do and often put a smile on millions of people face and at the same time!Never saw the person but has made people laugh and made people cry when some one can feel your pain and can share a moment with you is a true blessing and over years the Osmonds have shared there music and there feelings and thoughs and know a moment in time that we will never get back again and that is time…Showing us there emotions and feelings and hopes and Dream…Thank you for your kindness to the world.
She chooses to work because she doesn’t know anything else. Have met her a couple of times and wasn’t all that impressed. It seems to me that the stage is and always will be her FIRST LOVE. She will sacrifice anyone and anything just to stay in the spotlight. Sorry, but it’s true.
I Feel sorry for this young lady Marie to some degree…She works and works because she is lonely and wants to have some one else to spend time with and…She has all those children to take care and have to pay all there bills and put them throw college and it is not cheap know adays and budget is costly to send each of those kids to private school. We have no idea when she is ever going to stop working? There was something about her that did not impress!
To stay in the spot light is keeping your job alive and…It seems to me she is what you call an attention Hog and that means she want to be the center of attention! She is really pretty and very attractive and she can sing her butt off and love her music but wish she did more acting? I think she want to do it until the day she dies…Reason I Think she does it is not for the money but on the other hand…She never wants have her children want for anything but yes she should slow down and take some time for herself and stop and smell the roses.
I felt really close to Marie when she lost her son and that really allowed me to know her better but yes she is lost in work and she has youth and she is very nice looking and in this business you only have so much time before your looks are shot to Hell and you are not able to go out in the public..When people get really old and real old looking they want to hide from the world and Marie has youth and Beauty and that is the reason she will not leave the spot light but in life if you like something and have a passion for it..It is hard to leave..Because your fear is they are not going to remember you. Have a wonderful day LosVegasLady…I Want to thank you for your thoughts and feelings on this manner.
Marie Osmond has been working hard to keep her mind on other things and most of all spread some joy to other peoples life and people come from all over the world to hear her sing in person and when she smiles it make them happy and brings joy to there heart and…The Osmonds are good people who really love each other and care about each other and keep in torch with each other and spend time together…It is nice to see that every one is getting along and every one loves and cares for each other..We don’t see familys like this today and familys are nolonger close or they don’t spend time together and alway something gets in the way..But this family is such a good family..I wish…I Had a family like that..I wish that my family would reach out and spend time together like we used to before we all grow up and for that reason alone the Osmonds are alway good to look at.
I am THRILLED that Marie will be the GRAND MARSHALL of this year’s Hollywood Christmas Parade! I will definitely be watching this parade! Sure wish Donny would have been with her though. I have been a fan of Donny Osmond (and later Marie) since I was a child in the the early 70’s. I am also happy that they are showing the pararde on TV still after all these years. Now days all can enjoy it via cable nationwide, not just on a local Southern California station like it was when I watched it as a little girl. Congratulations Marie and thank you Hallmark channel for quality television programming!
