This is what happiness is! Community got saved by Yahoo and it will have a sixth season; so now it only takes a movie for the dream to be fulfilled.
Yahoo has just made a deal to keep Community for a new run in what was the last day possible, as the actors contracts would be up midnight tonight if not picked.
For the sixth season of Community, there will be thirteen new episodes, and creator Dan Harmon with Producer Chris McKenna at the helm.
In typical Dan Harmon fashion, he stated “I am very pleased that ‘Community’ will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo,” … “I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, ‘Big Bang Theory.’ Look out, ‘Bang Bus!”
Joel McHale is another happy cookie out there. After all he made clear he has no intention of a nightly talk show, and with the pickup of Community, alongside his long running The Soup on E!, he won´t have time anyways. McHale stated: “Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon. And thank you to the greatest fucking fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now.”
