those-who-kill-cancelled-renewedIs it possible that you are born to do film and not TV? This is the second short lived show in a row for movie star Chloe Sevigny as A&E cancels Those Who Kill and pull the show off schedule immediately after only two episodes aired.

The show started off to very disappointing numbers in the ratings department, and, having a bonafide hit in Bates Motel, A&E decided on the move, giving the time slot for Those Who Kill to Bates Motel.

Based on the Danish crime series format inspired by the bestselling work of author Elsebeth Egholm, the thrilling drama follows Catherine Jensen (Chloë Sevigny, Big Love, Boys Don’t Cry), a recently promoted homicide detective who tracks down serial killers. Motivated by her past, including the disappearance of her brother and the suspicion that her stepfather is a serial killer, she often finds herself emotionally connected to the victims she’s investigating.  Jensen enlists the help of Thomas Schaeffer (James D’Arcy, Hitchcock, Cloud Atlas), a forensic psychologist who has a tumultuous relationship with the police department, to provide insight into her cases and her personal investigation into her stepfather.  He too finds himself deeply connected to each case, but often through the killer, which proves to be a hazardous undertaking.
