scott-mcintyre-american-idolOk, so, we are still on Hollywood Week of American Idol Season 8.

Group night was devastating, but over a hundred contestants are still through. Some of them were shown in this week´s recaps, some of them weren´t.

Some of them made it through, some of the ones with more TV air fell along the way, like Emily Wynn Hughes.

Now, it´s time we, here at Series and TV, check out the so far front runners, and at least American Idol Hollywood hopefuls for another shot.

Scott MacIntyre, who was born almost completely blind and is a singer-songwriter, closes out the Phoenix audition round of “American Idol.”

Wow, you really like him right away; nice guy, he plays the piano even though he can only see essentially one key at a time. Skis, dances … OK, he could be the breakout hit this season, and based on his speaking voice I think he can sing.

Does Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes”; oh yeah, he can sing. Nice to listen to, with great tone; “Idol’s” found its moment, hope this guy winds up in the top 12. Nothing but praise from the judges, they all like him and he breezes out of the audition round. He has charisma, likability, not at all arrogant. And a nice family; these are the kind of great stories you watch “American Idol” for.
