Now this one was something that anybody could have foreseen before since although the first season was solid, the second season was actually sort of a scheduling ping pong ball and hasn´t even premiered yet, so the fact that BET is cancelling Reed Between The Lines is not a surprise.
Reed Between the Lines follows a modern-day blended family as they navigate life’s ups and downs with wit and humor.
The show starred Tracee Ellis Norris, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Tony Rock, Melissa De Sousa among others. But now it is uncertain if the second season will ever see the air, but everybody is actually quite confident that it will, as the show is already filmed and edited, but still failing to get a spot in the schedule.
Fans will probably be a bit off about this as the show was quite funny indeed, but after a full season with good reviews. And Deadline.com is reporting the show as cancelled, although official confirmation is yet to come.

I watched this show and although it wasn’t super-funny, it was different than any other sitcom. Like a throwback to the Cosby Show, this show actually tried to teach people about how to be a good family. There were lessons for the kids as well as for the adults. Well, that’s not what gets viewers these days. If there’s no drama, then it’s that much harder to maintain an audience.
That’s the whole problem! Black people continue to support negative image of black show and enough positive black shows. The Black Community often have double standards we complained there too much coonin & buffoonery but when we do get shows like Reed Between Lines and other positive black shows we still complained that it’s not funny, it’s boring, it’s not like the Cosby Show. And yet they continued to suppor BS shows like Scandal, The Game, Being Mary Jane, Basketball Wives,House Of Payne,& Meet The Browns. I’m like come on we in the black community need to get ourselves together.
