next-list-cancelled-cnn-renewedArticle by Guillermo Paz

A lot of movement on CNN lately, with the cancellation of the Hilary Clinton documentary and the renewal for Anthony Bourdain´s Parts Unknown, but now the news cabler also cancelled The Next List. Sanjay Gupta´s show, which premiered in October 2011 is coming to an end, and the innovators profile show will conclude after portraying several inspiring characters.

The Next List was a 30-minute weekend television program on CNN, airing every Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Each week, the show profiled innovators, visionaries, and agents of change from around the world who are steadily mapping the course to the future with their new ideas. Each half-hour episode featured one ‘Next Lister’ and tells their story about what they’re doing to change the world, what challenges they faced, and the innovative approaches they’ve developed to overcome obstacles. Next Listers are creative, passionate, and embracers of opportunity and change.

Hopefully more inspiring shows will fill the void left by this one, instead of more nonsense as TV is filled these days.
