jenna-hamilton-cancelled-renewed-awkward-season-four-mtvMTV has just confirmed Awkward is getting renewed for season four. The show was on a bubble mainly because creator / EP / Showrunner Lauren Iungerich left the series when finished production on season three, and a potential pickup was depending upon finding the right replacement. Now, that replacement comes in the form of a pair of showrunners in Chris Alberghini and Mike Chressler who co-created NoTORIous on VH1 and who were EP´s on 90210. Now, with the show still with the back part of season three to air later this year, it can catch some strenght moving forward and ultimately maintain its role as the flagship comedy both lauded by critics and followed by fans.

The show stars Ashley Rickards as Jenna Hamilton, Beau Mirchoff as Matty, Molly Tarlov as Sadie, Jillian Rose Reed as Tamara, Brett Davern as Jake, Desi Lydic as Valerie, Nikki Deloach as Lavey, Greer Grammer as Lissa, Jessica Lu as Ming and Nolan Funk as Collin. And now, the show will come back for more, putting it closer (probably one more full season) to the magic number of 100 episodes.
