Bravo Media announced that it will partner with Ryan Seacrest Productions on the new docu-series, “Shahs of Sunset” (working title). The series will follow a group of young Persian-American friends who juggle living and working in LA while balancing the demands of their families and traditions.
“The Persian American community in Los Angeles is a perfect fit for Bravo’s next great docu-series. The group of friends featured in our show are colorful, affluent, and fun,” said Andy Cohen, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development for Bravo. “Ryan and his team understand what our viewers want to see and when they brought us this group we responded immediately. There’s not a show like it on TV”
“We’re pleased to bring this exciting new story of a distinct and compelling community of Los Angeles to the Bravo audience,” said series executive producer Ryan Seacrest. “The series will offer rich characters and relatable storylines about everyday life — love, work, friendship and family — steeped in a diverse culture, which is wildly entertaining and fun.”
From over-the-top shopping sprees on Rodeo Drive to traditional family feasts at home, “Shahs of Sunset” celebrates the opulent lifestyle of a group of young, friends who have grown up together in Los Angeles and are now trying to balance their active social lives with their up-and-coming careers. Armed with chromed-out cars, logo-ridden purses and designer outfits, they’ve got it and they’re not afraid to flaunt it. But while these young socialites know how to spend money – they also know the value of family and tradition. It’s a part of Los Angeles culture and lifestyle that definitely has to be seen to be believed.
“Shahs of Sunset” is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions with Ryan Seacrest serving as executive producer on the series.
