legend-zelda-ocarina-time-book-reviewThis is a book on the Legend of Zelda series, that´s as iconic as they come when we talk about video games and Manga, but I´ve never read anything from the series, so I delved myself into the first book of Ocarina of Time.

The book seems a little but more targeted for kids than I expected. I thought it was going to be more of a manga fan book, and instead I found a fastpace book that reads easily and that you can finish in one sitting, but not much more from it.

I was kind of expecting to see a book able to capture me way more than this one did. Maybe I was expecting too much because of the fact of The Legend of Zelda being such an icon in pop culture.

Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I am not the main target. I am not saying that I did not like the book, on the contrary, I did like it. But it isn´t a book that blew my socks off. It was an Ok book. One you can enjoy and easily move on to the next one. And that´s not necessarily what I look for when reading a book; and certainly not what I thought I would encounter upon reading my first Legend of Zelda book.

All in all, I can´t give it more than three stars, but at the same time, wouldn´t even consider giving it less than that. So, to sum it all up: A good choice for younger audiences, especially those that are not as influenced by the video games. I would strongly recommend it to the children of the men who grew up as teens in the nineties who played Zelda on the Super Nintendo. That´s the book for them.
