We are all about the cancelled shows on 2011 and the renewed shows on 2011. And this one has a bittersweet flavour. AMC renews Breaking Bad for season five, and that will be the show´s last one.
The same week that USA renewed In Plain Sight for a fifth and final season, AMC renews Breaking Bad for a final fifth season, all in the midst of controversy with Breaking Bad´s negotiations, that even Sons of Anarchy´s creator gave a mouthful to AMC about giving too much away to the greed of Mad Men instead of taking good care of the network´s other signature shows.
And if we recall The Killing´s fans disappointing finale, Frank Darabont´s walkaway, Sons of Anarchy´s fire, and Mad Men´s long hiatus, adding this sort of renewal cancellation for Breaking Bad is not making for a brightier future for a network with such quality shows that any other network would die to get.
So, as a conclusion to this dragged out soap between AMC and Breaking Bad, renewal for a fifth and final season is somehow soemthing we could´ve expected, but not desired.
What do you think? Are you happy that AMC renews Breaking Bad for season five? Or are you sad because it surely looks like a cancellation for Beraking Bad in disguise? Let me know in the comments section.
