As usual, we are reviewing all the cancelled shows on 2011 and the renewed shows on 2011…
And while some time ago ABC cancelled All My Children, and also cancelled One Life to Live, both shows apparently found another life to live, since ABC has just signed an agreement to license the show to create new episodes to be placed online.
ABC announced that both All My Children and One Life to Live will continue online as part of a multi-year licensing deal with Prospect Park.
The official release from ABC announcing the “Uncancellation” of All My Children and One Life to Live reads:
ABC has licensed its iconic soaps, “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” to Prospect Park, it was announced today by Brian Frons, President, Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group & Janice Marinelli, President, Disney/ABC Domestic Television and Rich Frank & Jeff Kwatinetz of Prospect Park. The exclusive multi-year, multi-platform deal enables the soaps’ stories to continue beyond their finale dates on ABC. ABC will broadcast its final episode of “All My Children” on Friday, September 23rd and will air the final episode of “One Life to Live” in January, 2012.
The licensing agreement, brokered by Disney/ABC Domestic Television Group, enables Prospect Park to continue production of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” beyond their life on ABC. Prospect Park will produce and deliver the two long-running programs to consumers via online formats and additional emerging platforms including internet enabled television sets. Under the terms of the arrangement, the programs will continue to be delivered with the same quality and in the same format and length. Additional details of the new productions and tune-in will be forthcoming from Prospect Park.

Now that there are so many devices available in addition to television sets, viewers are taking advantage of watching shows wherever they are and on any number of devices. The driving force in making the switch and attracting new audiences is to have outstanding programs that people want to watch. We believe that by continuing to produce the shows in their current hour format and with the same quality, viewers will follow the show to our new, online network.”
“’All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ are iconic pieces of television history that captivated millions of fans since their beginning over 40 years ago,” said Frons. “Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history and informed our consciousness in their own way. We are so glad Prospect Park has assumed the mantel for these shows and that they will continue for the fans.”
Marinelli continued, “From the time the shift in the daytime strategy was announced, our hope was to find a new home for these treasured shows. We are thrilled to license them to Prospect Park so the stories of life in Pine Valley and Llanview can continue to be told for the passionate and loyal fans that enjoy watching each day.”

Prospect Park is a media and production company founded in 2009 by entertainment industry veterans Jeffrey Kwatinetz and former Disney Studios head Rich Frank. Along with successful film and music divisions, the company’s television group has numerous shows in development and breakout network hits airing, including “Royal Pains” and “Wilfred.”
In April, ABC announced that it was expanding the focus of its daytime lineup to include more programming that is informative and authentic and centers on transformation, food and lifestyle. “The Chew,” an innovative and groundbreaking daily talk show that celebrates and explores life through food, will premiere on September 26th. “The Revolution,” a daily show about health and lifestyle transformations, will replace “One Life to Live” in January 2012.
“All My Children” has revolved around the lives of the residents of fictional Pine Valley, a town which closely resembles the Philadelphia Main Line. “All My Children” took home the 1998 Emmy-award for Outstanding Drama Series, the third time the show received this top honor, having also garnered the award in 1994 and 1992. “All My Children” has received more than 30 Emmy Awards and consistently distinguishes itself in the field of daytime drama. The show has historically been committed to and is often the first to tackle social issues, focusing on such topics as AIDS, abortion, cochlear implants, teenage alcoholism, racial bias, acquaintance rape, spousal abuse, homosexuality, Reyes syndrome, Vietnam MIAs, drug abuse, the risks of motherhood over 40, safe sex, pet therapy and organ donations, among others. The show made television history airing daytime television’s first same-sex kiss between two lesbian characters as well as daytime television’s first same sex wedding between two women. The show was the first to chronicle the coming out story of a transgender woman and to cast a real life Iraq war vet whose story reflected his real life experiences and injuries incurred in combat.
“All My Children” premiered on the ABC Television Network on January 5, 1970, as a half-hour show; seven years later it expanded to an hour. Julie Hanan Carruthers is executive producer.
Also created by Agnes Nixon, the Emmy Award-Winning “One Live to Live” is set in the fictional town of Llanview, which is modeled on a Philadelphia suburb. “One Life to Live” debuted on The ABC Television Network July 15, 1968 as a half hour show. Ten years later, it grew to a full hour in 1978.
“One Life to Live” has been lauded for its groundbreaking exploration of social issues, diverse canvas, award-winning performances and innovative storylines. Along with the history-making week of live shows in May 2002, “One Life to Live” is responsible for many “firsts” in Daytime television, including stories of interracial romance, illiteracy, medical misdiagnosis, racial prejudice, gang violence and teen pregnancy. The show received mass critical acclaim for its 1992 homophobia storyline, which captured national headlines when it introduced the character of a gay teen (played by then unknown Ryan Phillippe) and culminated with the emotional display of the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. “One Life to Live” was honored by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) with the Outstanding Daytime Drama Award in 1993, and again in 2005 and 2010.
In 2002, the show won its first-ever Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Drama Series category, and was nominated again in 2007 and 2008. Created by Agnes Nixon, “One Life to Live” debuted on July 15, 1968 and marked its 10,000th episode on August 17, 2007. Frank Valentini executive-produces.

Yes one life to live is saved and will be moving to on line and that is really good and that means..I can keep watching the show. We the people love the show and it is really nice of you to keep the show on another directions and that is really sweet and kind and thoughtful.
Wonderful and fantastic that we can alway watch some wonderful actors and the story line will keep going on no matter what and that in itself is amazing and fantastic…I love Roger Howarth and other members of One Life to live and starr is singing and Blair has stopped real good. I am going to go on line each and every day and watch the show no matter what. Really Thank you very much and this is for millions of people all over the world.

ALL MY CHILDREN REALLY GROSS ME OUT BECAUSE OF THE POLICE MAN AND MOST OF MY FRIENDS FEEL THAT THEY ARE REALLY GROSSED OUT AND SINCE THE OLD PEOPLE ARE GONE THE SHOW SHOULD GO AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE SHOULD STAY AND THE MEN ON THERE ARE SMOKING HOT AND SEXY AS SOON AS THEY TAKE THERE SHIRT OFF. Yummy and good delightful men. Take away ALL MY CHILDREN AND LEAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE AND AS FAR AS THE CHEW ALLOW ALL MY CHILDREN TO LEAVE AND ADD THE CHEW AND TAKE AWAY ALL MY CHILDREN AND LEAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE.
All my children is gross to some degree and know that same actor is on dancing with the stars and know..I am forced to cover my face and or hope he is leaving the show soon.

I thought the show really sucked and the men where not worth looking at as the show went on.
I Really loved the old timers that died and…When they died it was like stripping the show and…Lost something in it and..I guess I LOVE THE OLD ACTORS SO VERY MUCH AND…When they left they took my heart as well..What I LOVE ABOUT OLD PEOPLE IS WISDOM AND KNOWING HOW TO DO THINGS AND HAVING THAT PLEASURE OF THERE SHOW-MAN-SHIP WAS A MAJOR LOST FOR ME.
WILL NEVER MISS THE SHOW AND SUSAN AKA ERICA YOUR ACTING REALLY BLOWS AND THE MOVIES YOU MADE REALLY SUCKED AND YOU NEVER PLAYED ANY ONE OTHER THEN ERICA IN EVERY MOVIE AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS SWEAR IN YOUR MOVIES IN THE FUTURE AND SAY OTHER WORDS STRONGER THEN BITCH AND DO A MOVIE WITH SEX AND VIOLANCE FOR A CHANGE AND MORE ACTION.

I Don’t think any one in life can fall in love that many times but it is unreal to a large degree and that is the reason the show lost something?

Goodbye and your show was boring and did not watch you any way and yes…I am rude to you and just did not want to lose my show but…I do wish every one well and hope everything goes good for all of the actors and…I stopped watching for years and years…Because when Mona Died…The show died for me…THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT THAT WOMAN THAT MADE ME WANT TO WATCH.

All my children is gross to some degree and really can’t watch the show without wanting to throw up or put my food down and know that policeman is on dancing with the stars and really can’t watch that show as well and wish he was voted off and so I COULD GO BACK TO WATCHING THE SHOW AGAIN.
I Know that the show was lacking in some areas and the men where not hot or sexy to look at and got really bored with all the story lines but I KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO REALLY LOVE THE SHOW…But for me the show had to go and really don’t miss it at all and happy that one life to live is staying and really love and enjoy that show…so much more?
Happy to see Todd out of Jail and wish Victor was there for some reason and…They did not get to act together much and was loving what I Saw to start off with and…Too Bad it had to end so soon!
Tina and Todd are Funny together and good Todd is eatting something other then oatmeal and…It is funny to see Vickey act as the piece maker!
John brother and sister in law are having babies and Marcy is doing great with another child and loving that massive so much and Brody is selfish and wants to keep Liam to himself and Poor Stacy who has Gigi face and her hair is so blond and loving that to death.
Dani birthday is here and who is going to remember and no one is throwing her a party or even got the little lady a cake yet!
Where is Destiny and we have not seen her for days and…I just want to know how the baby is doing and want to see if she got bigger.
I miss Dorian and that new mayor is not nice and she seems like a mean and heartless person. Bo saved every one life and no one has wrote a story about this man being a Hero yet but Bo is wonderful and warm and strong man and happy to see he is going to be a grandfather and Hope Destiny is going to have twins and loving the story lines to death for know.
The show is moving and grooving and of course holds my attention from start to finish and that is what moves me towards soaps is that the story never ends and…Nice story lines and twist and turns and going in many directions and you never know where it is going to take you?
All I want to say is that…I am grateful for each and every day One life to live is on and just loving every moment and every one and Rex is hurting and…I feel for him to always want some one back and…Feeling it is not over and longing for some one laughter and smile.
Roxanne is funny and really looks good on one life to live and Todd is out of jail eatting candy and that is really nice to see and Vicky always keeping everything Calm on the water front…Irene is such a cold hearted snake and heartless and really hates her children….Big time but did Todd really shoot and kill his brother? What angers me is not seeing Todd and Victor and Tina together as a team playing off each other.
I am laughting at the show to some degree but it is hurtful to see John in so much pain and that in itself really breaks my heart to see the sadness of his blue eyes and of course he is feeling like something is out of place and can’t seem to put his fingers on the problem that is there but all in all this man is a total dream hunk to look at any way.
Brody and Natilie have been careful making love and there has not been another baby in the picture and that is a shame on many levels because that way he would really have his own blood line to connect to his and Brody is a real Hot Hunk himself and really foxy man to start off with.
Rex and stacy seems creepy but he is going to fall all over her and just love her as much as Gigi and that is going to be a crazy story line to follow and it seems like it is going to be really fun to follow..What is going to happen next.
Love One life to live and Vicky really torches my heart and soul and love the lovely words that she brings to the story line and she is the grandmother and mother of Soaps and really pretty and Beautiful and smart and her English is outstanding.
Love my sweet little jessica…She is amazing actress and what she did with the roles of Tess and Bess and West was outstanding and incredible and wonderful and really she made me believe what parts she was playing and she was funny and lazy and pushy and aggressive and know she is just blowing my mind with her acting and love the fact she is doing some acting with Robert Ford..Yummy and sexy and hot and sweet white boy and a body to die for…Every time he takes off his shirt…All I Can think is yummy…Oh my God…..
Did Todd really Shot Victor Lord Jr? Please don’t let it be true and of course has they search the river and is the old Black nice Homeless man have the gun in his Pocket still? I Wish they would look at Irenes Gun and the Bullet that was taken out of Todd..And Hope he eats more then just candy.. LOVE HIM DRESSED AS THE WOLF.
Baby Seal how Cute Little sweet Liam with those Blue Blue eyes and…Brody and Natilie are really being careful to not have more children…It has been 9 months and still no child for Brody…Brody just needs some one to love and share his life with and a family and yes that is something every one wants down the road..Poor man was so lonely and had no one to share his life with…I do feel sorry for that man.
Stacy with a Heart is great to see that she has changed for the better and it is lovely to see that she cares and that she is concerned and worried about Rex and his lost but most of all Shane feelings and thoughs as well…Love the corner this young lady is taking and thinks it is amazing and great.
Rex has his eye on this lady with lips like Gigi and…This feeling that he is having and hope that part of his life really works well to find out about this young lady but he is going to be in shock once he sees her and hears her voice as well but it would be a blessing to Shane and Rex to have her back in there life but gather understanding that she is not Gigi?
Cord and Tina are falling in love again and that is Music to my Ears..Funny Tina always makes me laugh and love seeing that little Red Hair lady with Red lips and finger tips…Sweet little lovely Tina…I have always liked her and was Sad when she was gone and Happy she is back living off Vicky yet again…But Vicky has enough money for 29 people to live off for the rest of there life…She is so supper rich and has millions in the Bank.
Todd why did you kill your own brother Victor? You where going to take him to court soon and get some money back? It is selfish to be so greedy and pig like about money…I Know that you got 30 million when you where 25 years old and your brother made that 5 times over and so there was plenty of money to work with…I don’t understand this issue…It really makes me sick.
I Wanted to see you and Victor together and really miss the facts that you both could had played off each other for a while and kind of wish…I saw you both fighting like you and Tina did…It would had been fun and really funny at the same time to see if you both liked the same thing and eat the same thing and acted the same way….I was not ready to see your brother go yet…
My Ta..Ta is going to have a Baby and that makes me feel better about the show and happy that Tea got Pregnant and think it is about time…After making love to Victor Thousands of times it was better late then never.
Some times Jack can be nice but some times he is a real jerk but on the other hand he is really a good looking young man and a star in the making on One life to live but yes the story line is great for him to meet a young lady but is he ever going to tell any one about him meeting Gigi at the grave or is he going to keep it to himself?
I really miss One life to live and can’t get used to the fact every one is not together and to see this men on other shows don’t feel right.
I was shocked to see how dark Dentanys child was and had though it was going to be the color between Mattfew and her but not her color…. Really wanted to see where that story line was going to go and Mostly miss Tea and wanted to see if she was going to have twins and when One life to live was really drawing me in…It was all taken away…
I miss the children of One life to live Ryder and Liam and Drew and Tea baby to be in the future! I feel like it is really unfair to have other shows going and My show is gone.
I could care less about All My children because the woman I Love the most Died and they really made the show what it was and brough fun and flare and motive to the story line but Mona was the one that made the show for me and when she died! I cried and was really sad of course I know she was playing a part but she made me love her and that was the last straw for me….Thats when I Stopped careing and it was easy to miss the show from that day forward.
Love Roger Howard to Death and really missed him on the show and when he left and went to another show…I Tuned in and tuned out because I could not stand the other people on that show and when he came back to (When he came back to One life to live I was happy and really feeling good) Too bad he is pimped out to another show and know again….I can’t watch the show and the story line is driving me crazy and having to look at the actors really blows.
