Nate-berkus-cancelled-renewedThe year is not over, so, before starting my lists for 2012, there´s still info to fill the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011 lists.

And this one really makes me sad, Harpo Studios decided to cancel The Nate Berkus Show instead of giving it another run. The show was averaging 1,4 million viewers, a little below expectations, but still managing to keep on pair with The Wendy Williams Show and more than double of what Jeremy Kyle Show does. All those shows on a different league than Dr Phil´s 4 million viewers of average.

In a joint statement from Harpo Studios and Sony Pictures TV, they explained the cancellation for The Nate Berkus Show: “After careful consideration, we have decided that The Nate Berkus Show will not return for a third season in the fall. We are grateful for the hard work and heart that Nate, Corin Nelson and their entire team have poured into the show, and we’re very proud of what they’ve delivered.”

This is also coming on the brink of new talk shows with Steve Harvey and Jeff Probst from the same companies. So maybe, just maybe, ratings were not the sole reason as to why they cancelled Nate Berkus show. A real pity. I loved me some Nate Berkus.
