We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011. And the year came out in its first week already giving way to a couple renewals. And cancellations were not happening; but so long happy days. TLC cancels Sarah Palin´s Alaska and not bringing it back for a second season.
In this case, even though the show was solid in the ratings, averaging 3,2 million viewers, will not be back and sounds quite right.
Entertainment Weekly folks reported the reason:
it makes sense why Palin wouldn’t want to commit to another season: If she and her family chose to shoot more episodes, it would surely be interpreted as a sign that she had no plans to run for office. By not doing a second round, Palin would spare TLC the trouble of having to provide her fellow candidates with equal-access time of their own in the event she did decide to run.

Sarah Palin’s Alaska is an American television show about the state of Alaska, hosted by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and produced by Mark Burnett Productions for Discovery Communications for air on TLC. According to Palin, the show’s aim is to bring “the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans.” The series is eight episodes long, and is part travelogue, part documentary series.

I think Sarah Palin’s Alaska is a dismal show, if it were not for the scenery it would not be worth watching at all. I don’t intend to watch it again.
Can Sarah be replaced with Christine O’Donnell? No one can ‘refudiate’ Christy the Witchy’s star power. I heard that the people in Delaware voted for her by accident. They couldn’t read.
It does seem that compared to Palin, Bachmann or Beck, Christy is the smartest T-Partier out there.
I don’t plan to watch it again and when I did watch it I was very dissappointed at the way she treated her children. Putting their life in danger everday fighting bears, fish, and putting them in boat near water all day. She is a very dangerous and sick person. Please remove her and NEVER let her be on any show again. There are too many stupid people out their that will try to do someone of them stupid things. That is what drives the cost of health care up people like Palin with their guns and other dangerous weapsons.
Finally the dumbassery ends………..mama bear needs to get back to the shore and stare down the russkies….wink, wink.

i thought it was an alright show. i like those kinds of outdoor, adventure shows and her’s highlighted the wide range of activities Alaska has to offer. i also appreciated the non-political attitude of it. sorry to see that they didn’t pick it up for another season but maybe they’ll bring it back after 2012.
