veep-cancelled-renewed-hbo-season-twoMore information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And this one comes as an early bet from the premium cabler HBO, renewing Veep for a second season after only two episodes aired, and the show still has to find its pace. But the show has good pedigree, starring Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Tony Hale as the headliners of a great cast that includes Anna Chlumsky and Reid Scott.

The show centers on former Senator Selina Meyer who finds being Vice President of the United States is nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned about.

After being Elaine Benes on Seinfeld and Old Christine on The New Adventures of Old Christine, it´s nice having her back starring in a comedy, and pairing her with HBO might make for a good run, especially since the cabler is very respectful of its shows and audiences, and gives them the wiggle room as to find their stride.

Second season renewal order for Veep is for ten episodes and is probably targeted for early 2013.
