In this case, CBS renewed The Mentalist for season five of a very solid both on ratings and critics show, that is a more serious version of my fave show, Psych.
So far this season ranks in the top fifteen shows on television, with 14,5 million viewers on average, and while it is a tenth lower than last season, still manages to be one of the biggest rated shows in the US and a sure bet for the network, making CBS to renew The Mentalist for season five.
