We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
This is not exactly neither a cancellation nor a renewal, but… it´s a new order!
Melrose Place has just got ordered 6 more episodes and signed a full 25 episode season.
So, in a way CW has announced the renewal of Melrose Place for a second half first season (Well, first is a saying). That´s probably despite of the not so promising ratings on the show.
What is Melrose Place About? – Plot
Melrose Place is an American television series for The CW Television Network, that premiered on September 8, 2009. The fifth series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, it is an updated version of the 1990s FOX prime time drama Melrose Place, featuring a group of young adults living in a West Hollywood, California apartment complex. Smallville producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer are show runners of the series. According to Entertainment Weekly, the first season will feature a murder mystery involving characters Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) and Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) from the original series, as well as a crop of new residents.

I agree melrose place is way better than 90210 the story line is much much better. I hope it last the way they incorporated the old show with the new was way better than 90210’s stupid guest appearances I mean how many of 40 year old characters are going to go back to high school. and vampire love stories WACK!!!
The CW Network should be cancelled! All the shows are the same! Heres the plot:
Group of “high schoolers” that look 30 live in a big city and do absolutely nothing but whine and bitch with each other.
What?!!? This show is the worst piece of crap on TV! The new characters are lame & stupid. I can’t believe anyone thinks this is a good show. None of the people on it can act & the story lines are LAME! Worst of all is that plot about Jonah & his manish/drag queen girlfiend, Riley. The writers are trying so hard to make people believe that she is hot. Since when does fat, ugly, & manish equal model?!!? Get rid of those 2 characters & maybe, MAYBE the show will improve. Until then, it is UNWATCHABLE!!!!!!
I like it- the characters and stories are over the top, but I watch it because it’s nothing like my own life!
WOOHOO!! I didn’t think i was gonna like the remake just like i don’t care 90210, but i was totally wrong! I love this show! It has done it again and sucked me right back into it. I loved the original Melrose. In fact i was watching the newest season they have out right now in fact Season 5 Vol. 2. So i hope they keep making the episodes, because they are so good.

I absolutely love Melrose Place. It’s my guilty pleasure. When the show returns in March, I hope the ratings will sky rocket. Lets watch the show and spread the word. The unaired episodes of The Beautiful Life is on youtube hoping to get a second chance. Let’s gain viewers for Melrose Place via youtube as well. We can do it!!!!! Melrose is here to stay!!!!!
Love Melrose.. No it’s not the original… nothing will be . but for what’s been on TV the last 10 years since the first ended.. It’s a welcome addition to the T.V. landscape.

Melrose doesnt return until March! I hate when shows take long breaks in the middle of the season. It makes it difficult (especially for shows with low ratings) to keep its viewers. I really wish they would keep Melrose Place.
I love Melrose Place and new 90201! I loved the originals and I love the new ones. Of course you cannot compare the two, as theya are two different shows. Remember, in the first season of Melrose and 90210 (original shows), they also almost got cancelled, untilt they picked up an audience.
PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE THESE SHOWS THE SAME OPPORTUNITY. SAVE MELROSE PLACE AND 90210 … I LIVE FOR THE DRAMA … AND AMANDA WOODWARD IS FIERCE AND BETTER THAN EVER.
I hope they don’t cancel it!!! I love the show and although I loved Heather Locklear in the original, she should stay far away from the updated version. They DO NOT need her. If she stays, THAT might be the reason it cancels.

melrose place is top of the line. I am on the edge of my seat drinking in every word. the music is great, upbeat, and the acting is fabulous. I am in love with the characters. cannot get enough of this show.

come on dont be foolish you didnt even give it a chance…the show is great,it captures all ages..the hype in LA WAS CRAZY IN AUGUST 2009 and when i arrived home i actually met some on the cast in philly airport,i told them i couldnt wait…the only thing to the writers,you bring old stars on for cameos that really make no sense…you need to let the younger audience get to know the past so the future of the show is solid..love the show actually its one of the best that premiered fall 2009……give it a chance

This show rocks! I love the tie-ins to the original (Amanda embezzling from D&D which was
never revealed then) and the rapport between original and new actors. I never
dreamed I’d see a revival. I was depressed when the original ended
and I loooove the new complex. Amanda answering to Jane for once is cool also.

This show is amazing! I fell in love with the 1st episode! Every ep is different..with cute cast and amazing plot! Loved it!!!!
I want 2nd season. Just because Americans don’t watch it when it’s aired…doesn’t mean It isn’t watchable world-wide over the Internet. So don’t cancel it!

Well, we now know that this isn’t true … MP only received 18 episodes not 25. I still hope that they get the chance to have a second season. 90210 and MP are the only shows I watch on the CW and they seemed to get better toward the end of the season. People quit watching MP because Ashley Simpson was on the show and people didn’t like her acting … as well as the writting on the show. After the fall break the show picked up and was MUCH better but people still think Ashley is on the show. PLEASE GIVE MP A SECOND SEASON!

Damn, some people need to stop hating on Melrose place.* cough cough* MOLLY! Thank goodness they are letting them have six more episodes. Watch, they will prove to them that Melrose Place does deserve a second season. It is the best show on The CW right now. All those other shows are just sex and love and thats all it is. Just people making out every five seconds! Thank god they are letting him have a chance.
