Parks and Recreation has just got ordered 9 more episodes and signed a full 22 episode season.
So, in a way NBC has announced the renewal of Parks and Recreation for a second half second season. That´s probably because of the very promising scripts.

Parks and Recreation is an American comedy television series. It was co-created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, part of the creative team on The Office. Despite initial speculation it would be a spin-off of The Office, the two programs are not related beyond the fact both shows share a similar mockumentary style. Parks and Recreation has been picked up by NBC for a second season. The show premiered on September 17, 2009 at 8:30 PM ET.
The series follows Leslie Knope, the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Knope takes on a project with a nurse named Ann to turn an abandoned construction pit into a park, while trying to navigate her way through the local government. On October 23, 2009, the show has received a full second season order.

Im glad there is going to be a new season.. Some of the comedies that have been put on are not good at all.. Parks and Rec kinda fit in the middle of the Office and 30 Rock and had that kinda down home kinda comedy to it that you could relate to..

Parks and Recreation blows The Office away! I would be devastated if it was going to be cancelled.
