Another review for this site done by Dayana in Spanish for hers and here in English.
This book is from the collection done by Chicken Soup for the Soul with Harvard Medical School, and this one is how positive thinking can contribute to improve our health.
Among the articles, they don´t quite seem academic enough. Among the stories, the initial ones were quite good, but then the book kind of deflated and eventually became a happiness recipee powerpoint kind of material rather than what I would expect from such a good collection. It is by far the worst Chicken Soup for the Soul book I´ve read so far. It´s a shame, because I really like the collection a lot.
In this case, it is a book I would not recommend as I do not see the point of reading it beyond the good intentions from the authors.
Perhaps in this case it´s just a matter of me not being the target audience at all, but I have to be honest on my reviews. The same as I´ve recommended all of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books so far to be read and bought, this one I cannot seem to find myself to get behind it.
