Today came the announcement of the premiere date for season seven of Psych set for Wednesday February 27th at 10PM.
The new season will have 16 new episodes and will celebrate its landmark 100th episode and unveil the long-awaited two-hour musical.
In the official announcement there´s a very interesting paragraph that reads:
Season seven will explore Gus’ personal life, feature the wedding of one of the main characters and deliver new ‘Psych-isms’ crafted for the series’ legions of devoted fans, affectionately known as PSYCH-O’s. Parminder Nagra will recur as Gus’ girlfriend, exposing his romantic side and creating jealousy with Shawn. Additional guests include Katy Mixon, Garcelle Beauvais, Jeffrey Tambor, WWE’s Big Show, as well as the return of Cybill Shepherd and Kristy Swanson.
First of all… there´s nothing in the announcement on wether Henry Spencer dies or lives on Psych. But we already knew they would not say anything, as that is the biggest cliffhanger for the show, but there´s another thing there: Someone´s getting married; one can be led to think it´s Shawn and Jules getting married, but the release clearly says: One of the main characters, not two of them, that puts Shawn and Jules out of the question, Chief Vick is already married, Henry Spencer is either dead or alive, and McNab is already married too. Who leaves us then? Gus and Lassiter. Gus is going to explore dating this season and has two great ladies to be paired with Parminder Nagra and Garcelle Beauvais, so I am ruling him out.
That only leaves us with Carlton Lassiter to get married on Psych, and since the show is bringing back Kristy Swanson, it very well can be him and her tying the knot.
What do you think? Who is getting married on Psych? Do you agree with me it´s Lassiter getting married? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section.

*Spoilers*
Spot on, Guillermo! Carlton and Marlowe get married in the episode “Deez Nups”, written and directed by James Roday. I’m so excited, as Lassiter is my favourite character. Another episode I’m dying to see is the one where Marlowe gets out of prison, called “Cirque Du Soul” (directed by Jennifer Lynch), which also introduces an ex of Carlton’s (played by Katy Mixon) – who also happens to be Marlowe’s parole officer! As “Cirque” was filmed an episode or two before the wedding, I wonder if he proposes to Marlowe in this.
