A while ago I told you the Reality Rocks Expo Lineup, and a little later when they upgraded it too.
Now, the lineup of Reality Rocks Expo grew again with great additions. The biggest stars of Reality TV are joining.
There will be opportunities to “pay it forward” with the stars of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” pitch your business plans to the stars of “Shark Tank,” witness a special reunion of “Rockstar: Supernova” and even see performances by “American Idol: Contestants.”
Throughout the weekend, the stars and producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will interact with fans in once-in-a-lifetime pay it forward projects. Just like the charitable builds that brings joyous tears to the eyes of millions of Americans nation-wide, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition stars will work hand-in-hand with fans at the expo to build a very special project that will then be donated to a charity at the end of the weekend. As part of the interactive, weekend-long build, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition stars Jillian Harris, Michael Moloney and Xzibit will meet & greet fans on Saturday and Paul Dimeo, Eduardo Xol will meet and greet fans on Sunday. The Emmy award winning reality program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” now in its 8th season on Sundays from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET on ABC, is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. It’s executive-produced Brady Connell and George Verschoor. David Goldberg is Chairman, Endemol North America.
On Saturday, April 9th, a special one-time only event, moderated by KTLA’s Sam Rubin, will feature the savvy businessmen Daymond John, founder/CEO of FUBU and Mark Cuban, founder HDNet/owner of Dallas Mavericks as they challenge the best & brightest Reality Rocks attendees to jump into the shark tank. Fans are invited to “pitch” their concept live in 140 characters or less and present their original business idea in the form of a “Twitter Pitch.”
At “The Big Twittch: Social Media, the Tipping Point to Growing Your Brand,” the stars of the hit ABC Reality show Shark Tank, will choose a few lucky fans to present their novel idea in a public forum and will gain immediate feedback from the hit show’s most approachable stars while hundreds of fans in the audience learn how using social media strategically can make or break their business. The panel will delineate the importance of new media in today’s world and the value of quick and concise pitches while offering direct, exclusive access to the stars of one of TV’s most exciting reality shows. Sunday, April 10th, will feature a casting call for the next groundbreaking reality series Majors & Minors, presented by The Boardwalk Entertainment Group, Sony Music’s RCA/Jive Label Group and BMI. This new series, featuring Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston and Ryan Tedder (of One Republic), follows a group of talented young performers as they are mentored by the biggest and most established artists in the music industry. While no one is ever voted off, one lucky “star-in-the-making’ will claim the final prize of a recording deal with the RCA/Jive label group and an opportunity to be featured in a cross-country concert tour. Majors & Minors will be televised this fall on The Hub television network.
The weekend will also feature performances throughout both days by American Idol alumni including Season 9 finalists Didi Benami, Michael Lynche and Paige Miles on Saturday and Andrew Garcia (Season 9), Mikalah Gordon (Season 4), Michael Johns (Season 7), and Blake Lewis (Season 6 Runner Up) on Sunday.
