Me and my boyfriend watched an episode so inspiring and we need to see it again or if we can get a copy of it. The episode was of Josh and Star, a suburban couple, who had their living room floor replaced with cork wood. Their fireplace was completely mosaiced on all three sides with black granite. The fireplace was changed to gas. The crew provided them with new cabinetry for the living area. Finally a wall, which was inspected by a local inspector for code, was converted from a two paned window wall to a three paned wall...the doors that they put in were difficult to hang but they finally got it done. It was absolutely the most beautiful work we had seen done on DIY. Please if there is anything you can do to get us a copy of that episode...we'd be willing to pay for it of course...please contact us at the above email. It aired on house crashers on December 12, 2011 at 1030a eastern time. Thanks
Do all the landscape jobs in NJ get done like this? Really- obnoxious obviously untrained dude comes in with a piece of equipment to force all the grass up, so he can put some sod down. He always send Gina, who must be sisters to the Jersey Shore chicks, out for one weeping evergreen, two other trees (never the same) and some "pop" of color to match her hair. And let's not forget her famous fake rock waterfalls. Geeze. Plus he plants all this right against the house. No training. All he does is yell at Ralph, and spread out gravel and mulch. Oh, yeah, and install a chain link fence.
Hey DIY - nobody wants their house to look like it's in Jersey if this "King" is doing them all, especially since he doesn't even pass a plan by the owners. It's always paver stones and blocks, nothing natural but the gravel.
He is not worthy of emulating so DIY needs to do us all a favor and can Gino. He is a fool. He should showcase his Mexicans more, who do the work from what I see.
Tacky tacky tacky. Can't even compare to Jason on Desperate Landscapes. We don't need this "Jersey" component. Tacky. Try putting some leopard print out with the BLUESTONE which must be the only natural stone up there!!! Keep Gina out of the nursery, else small children are going to falling on all those barberries she keeps buying.
tacky. just tacky. landscaping in a day. ugh.
