JOHN SANDFORD’S CERTAIN PREY centers on Lucas Davenport (Harmon), the Deputy Chief of Police for the city of Minneapolis. Davenport doesn’t need his job; he could have retired long ago with the money he made designing computer simulations. But Davenport loves what he does just as much as he loves nice suits, fast cars and women. When a cop is shot after witnessing the murder of the wife of a local real estate lawyer, Davenport is called to the scene. The cops quickly zero in on the husband as the prime suspect until a team of FBI agents (or “feebs” as Davenport describes them) descends on Minneapolis with evidence linking the crime to elusive hit woman Clara Rinker (Tatiana Maslany). Taking charge of the investigation, Davenport suspects that Clara is not working alone and sets his sights on Carmel Loan (Lola Glaudini), a high-powered attorney with an intense obsession for the real estate lawyer. As Carmel and Clara try to cover up their crimes, the body count grows and Davenport does what he does best — break all of the rules to nab this deadly duo.
There are over 20 bestsellers in the PREY series of novels; CERTAIN PREY is based on the tenth novel.
Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor Mark Harmon is probably most recognized for his role as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the #1 scripted show on television, CBS’ hit “NCIS.” He’s enjoyed a successful career in television, film and theater. His feature films include “The Presidio,” “Wyatt Earp” and “Summer School,” and on the small screen he has starred in such series as “Reasonable Doubts,” “Chicago Hope” and “St. Elsewhere.” Harmon has also guest starred on shows including “Moonlighting” and “The West Wing,” for which he earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. Recently, he voiced the character of Superman in the Warner Home Video release “Justice League: Crisis on two Earths.” On stage, Harmon has appeared in Kevin Wade’s “Key Exchange,” Bill C. Davis’ “Wrestlers,” and Mark Medoff’s “The Wager.” In addition, he has done several successful productions of A.R. Gurney’s hit play “Love Letters” with his wife, actress Pam Dawber.

We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011
And the year came out in its first week already giving way to a couple renewals.
CBS renews NCIS for a ninth season, and it should not surprise anybody because the show set a new series record in total viewers with 22.9 million and its star Mark Harmon signed a new two-year deal to continue on the hit show.
Mark Harmon will earn half a million dollar per episode in what I call a “I would do it in a heartbeat” kind of deal.
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler says why the decision to renew NCIS for season nine was a go: “It’s simply amazing that a show in its eighth season continues to perform at such an elite level,”
Do you want more reasons to renew NCIS for season nine? Last season, NCIS became the most watched scripted program on television, with an average audience of 18.9 million viewers. An Arab man in a suit watches a navy fighter plane land. The pilot is another Arab man that the first, Walid, calls “your highness.” Walid is his driver. He’s walking to the car when a jet flies low overhead and the car explodes into a fireball.
In the office, Tony angrily explains to someone on the phone that he’s not his dad, Tony Sr. who lives in NYC. McGee explains that Tony needs the money for a cruise with some frat buddies this spring. Tony’s dad isn’t returning his calls.
Gibbs calls them to the scene of the car bomb. Prince Sayif Ibn Alwaan was renting the car. The driver Walid was killed.
Sayif’s flight instructor is ready to be rid of the arrogant prince.
Gibbs tells the prince he’s under their protective custody. When the prince objects, Gibbs threatens to have his flight instruction stopped. The prince relents, but only if they guard him at his ritzy hotel.
In MTAC, Director Vance gets the news that royal guards will be helping protect the prince. Al Jezeera is reporting it was a terrorist attack.
McGee comes to gleefully report that Tony has a visitor. It’s Tony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner).
Tony Sr. is taken with Ziva and wants to know more. Pops recognizes the prince, he used to do business with his dad. Pops says whatever he came to talk about with Tony can wait.
The team goes to the prince’s suite where Ziva listens to Sayif get chewed out by his older brother Abdalla in Arabic for his Western indulgences.
Vance visits Duckie in the morgue to tell him the Saudis want the body for quick burial.
Gibbs checks in with Abby, who’s under the exploded car. She thinks the bomb was home made and wants to know all about Tony’s dad. Gibbs gets called to MTAC.
An NSA dude tells them they’ve intercepted an email with key words relating to an assassination attempt on the prince. They trace the IP address and find it’s in the business center of the hotel where the prince is staying.
Tony and Ziva race there, guns drawn, and come upon Tony Sr. typing away.
Pops gets to see the inside of an interrogation room, where Ziva and Duckie observe eagerly. Gibbs asks Tony Sr. about the email. He says he was emailing business contacts. He’s quite entertained with the whole situation. He knows the prince’s dad as Al and thought he might be a good source of financing for a project he’s putting together.
Out in the hall, Gibbs warns Tony to keep his dad away from the royal family.
Gibbs thinks Tony Sr. has an agenda.
The Tonys sit down for a cocktail (Junior has non-alcoholic beer because he’s working). Jr thinks Pops was disappointed he became a cop. Soon Jr. is criticizing his dad for his solitary childhood after his mom died when he was eight. He learns that dad has divorced and remarried and divorced since they last spoke. Jr. offers his condolences, his congratulations and his condolences.
Jr gets buzzed to relieve Ziva and warns his dad away from the royal family.
Back at the office, McGee watches surveillance from the car in the shop the day before and sees nothing unusual.
Ziva comes back from her shift, declaring Sayif a chauvinistic pig.
Vance joins the group and reports that MI 6 has a deep cover mole in the suspect terrorist group and he says they had nothing to do with it. It wasn’t a terrorist attack. They’re left with no leads.
The next morning, Gibbs and Ziva arrive at the hotel and find Tony Sr. in the lobby. He flirts shamelessly with Ziva.
In his suite they find Tony being held in a yoga position by a hot chick and two others lounging on the prince. Sayif’s older brother Abdalla arrives and warns him their dad is on the way.
Down the hall they see Tony Sr. getting off the elevator with “Al,” who says his good byes and says they’ll talk soon.
Gibbs isn’t pleased to see Sr. and takes it out on Jr.
In the lab, Abby tells McGee the bomb was very sloppily made. The timer didn’t set it off, she thinks it could have been the vibration from a low flying jet.
McGee examines GPS that shows the car driving to a remote part of the base after the prince was dropped off. That’s where the bomb had to have been planted.
Abdalla comes for Walid’s body in the morgue where Duckie tells him he can’t release the body yet — he has one more test to perform. The older prince is peeved.
In the office, Jr waits anxiously while his dad works on his computer and answers his phone. He makes an appointment for a massage in his room.
The whole team is back in the office because Sayif is in the air for three hours doing his flight test. Tony struggles to keep his dad entertained and is horrified when he and Gibbs set off on a tour. He calls McGee frantic to find out what his dad was up to on his computer.
Gibbs takes Sr to a conference room, cutting short the tour. He tells Sr his son is the best young agent he’s ever worked with. He asks when the last time they really talked was. He tells Sr about the plague Jr had four years ago. It’s news to dad. Sr wants to tell him to buzz off but instead Gibbs tells Sr to get to know his son better.
In the lab, Abby confirms to McGee that Walid had traces of explosive on his hands, meaning he planted the bomb on the car.
Sr continues his tour with Abby, continuing to flirt shamelessly.
In MTAC, Gibbs tells Tony he understands he’s distracted by his father. Tony says his dad isn’t the man he thought he was. Tony says it turns out his dad is broke. McGee hacked his records. Tony thinks his dad came to ‘fess up, but changed his mind when Al came to town. Tony says it’s time to end the game. His dad’s staying in a $1,000 a night suite he can’t afford, Tony will get him when he checks out.
Ziva and McGee greet the prince after he passes his flight test. He says his brother was childhood friends with Walid, which is how he got the job. Sayif suspects he was there to keep and eye on him. They tell him Walid planted the bomb.
Back at the hotel, dad Al greets Gibbs and Tony and tells them Sayif called ahead and filled him in. Al says Abdalla did try to kill Sayif, thinking if he died as a martyr he’d be less of an embarrassment to the family, but he’s boarding a royal jet for home now.
Abdalla has diplomatic immunity and his dad says he’ll deal with his son himself. He tells Tony to say good bye to his dad for him and maybe they’ll meet up in Monte Carlo next month.
Later in the lobby, Tony passes the news onto his dad, who is disappointed to have missed his window. He tries to get Tony to leave, but Jr follows his dad to check out. Sr does a tap dance about having problems with his credit card, but the desk man tells him his bill was paid in full. Al also left him an open-ended airline ticket to Monte Carlo.
Jr can only smile as his dad skates by. Neither of them says anything about what’s really going on . Sr tells his son he loves him and leaves.
Later, Tony drops by Gibbs’ place with a six-pack and finds him grilling a steak on his fireplace. Tony tells Gibbs about his dad’s escape.
Gibbs pauses for a moment and asks Tony where he got the money. Tony says he didn’t really need to go on a cruise with his fraternity brothers. He couldn’t bust his dad, he is who he is.
Cancelled Shows 2009: NCIS gets renewed for a new season by CBS!
We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
Although CBS hasn´t already renewed NCIS for a Seventh season. Now, reports say that CBS is going to renew NCIS for a new season. So, everything´s good!
NCIS (promoted as Navy NCIS in season one), aka Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service or NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, is an American police procedural television series revolving around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which conducts criminal investigations involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
The concept and characters were initially introduced in a two-part episode of the CBS series JAG (episodes 8.20 and 8.21). The show, a spin-off from JAG, premiered on September 23, 2003 on CBS and, to date, has aired five full seasons. Donald Bellisario, who created JAG, as well as the well-known series Magnum P.I., Airwolf, and Quantum Leap, executive produces NCIS. NCIS was originally referred to as “Navy NCIS”. However “Navy” was later dropped, as it was redundant due to the N of NCIS standing for Naval. NCIS returned for its sixth season on September 23, 2008 in the US, and in the UK, Friday April 17, 2009 on FX.
What is NCIS About? – Plot
NCIS is a television show that follows a fictional team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team (MCRT) special agents, headquartered at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. It is described by the actors and producers (on special features on DVD releases in the USA) as being distinguished by its comedy elements, ensemble acting and character-driven plots.
NCIS is the primary law enforcement and counter-intelligence arm of the United States Department of the Navy, which includes the United States Marine Corps. NCIS investigates all major criminal offenses (felonies), those crimes punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice by confinement of more than one year, within the Department of the Navy. This can be seen when the “NCIS team” is frequently assigned to high-profile cases such as the death of the President’s military aide, a bomb situation on a U.S. Navy warship, the death of a celebrity on a reality show set on a USMC base, terrorist threats, and kidnappings.
The “NCIS team” is led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Gibbs’ team is composed of Special Agent and Senior Field Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Mossad Liaison Officer Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), who replaced Caitlin ‘Kate’ Todd (Sasha Alexander) when she was shot by Ari Haswari (Rudolf Martin) at the end of season two. Ari himself was then killed by his half-sister Ziva in the beginning of season three. The team is assisted in their investigations by Chief Medical Examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum), Forensic Specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Assistant Medical Examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).
NCIS is currently led by Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll). The first Director seen in the series, Thomas Morrow (Alan Dale) left after a promotion to Deputy Director of DHS. Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly) was appointed Director after Morrow; she was killed in a shootout at the end of the fifth season.
Are you happy that NCIS gets renewed for a seventh season by CBS?
