When making the lists of renewed shows of 2013 and cancelled shows of 2013 you know beforehand some of the shows that will land on each side, and some of them are surprises, In this case, it was one of those you already knew but needed just official announcement, as CBS renews NCIS for season eleven after the network secured a new deal with show´s star Mark Harmon.
When doing the announcement official, CBS President and CEO Les Moonves said “In a world gone niche, NCIS keeps getting bigger, and Mark Harmon continues to define the role of leading man on the No. 1 show on television … NCIS is the type of franchise every company wants in today’s global content ecosystem — high-quality storytelling that generates passionate viewers and drives revenue on every conceivable platform.”
The show is as healthy as ever, ranking number 1 in total viewers at a whooping 21.48 million in audience. Not bad for an “old show”. Season eleven renewal for NCIS means there will be more show in 2014. NCIS LA will probably soon follow.
