This is a great infographic that Shaan Haider created about what are the things that Robert Zemeckis and the team behind Back To The Future got right about the future, and what it got wrong about how they perceived 2015 would be.
There is indeed a lot of rights. It really manages to be quite predictive as it was Star Trek.
There are some stuff we would´ve loved to see like the flying cars, and the hoverboard on every single one of our houses, but they are not yet either available, or distributed. But others are so spot on it´s crazy. For instance, videochatting or Google Glass.
Another thing quite interesting is that they are showing that the Chicago Cubs win the World Series of Baseball, and for the first time in a long long time, the Cubs are actually on the verge of that possibility. Can´t exactly be on October 21st, but if they actually win, it will be the biggest prediction from the film. It´s Nostradamus-like in that sense. I like it about the Drones and how they are everywhere in the film, and that is a reality of these days.
Which of the predictions that Back to The Future got right is your favorite? Which of the ones they got wrong would you like to see in the near future? Let me know in the comments section, and please share this article for more fans to see it!
