Lists for renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011 keep growing, but this time it is on the axing part of the list: MTV cancels The Buried Life after the second season.
Still, MTV hopes to continue working with the team in another format even though The Buried Life got cancelled.
So thing is, Jersey Shore is getting healthy and piling more and more eyes watching, but the complete opposite show, a positive one, like The Buried Life gets cancelled.
What was The Buried Life About? Plot Synopsis
The series focuses on four friends (Ben, Jonnie, Duncan, and Dave) as they travel across North America in a purple transit bus they named “Penelope” to complete a list of “100 things to do before you die.” For every item they try to complete on their list, they help a stranger achieve one of their dreams and encourage others to go after their own lists. Everywhere they go they ask the question: “What do you want to do before you die?” They have crossed off most of the numbers on their list. Ranging from asking a girl out to surviving on a desert island, the boys are always doing something different. They aim to inspire others to create their own lists, and continue to work on their own.

THE BURIED LIFE SIGNS NEW DEAL WITH MTV FOLLOWING “THE BURIED LIFE” CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT
LOS ANGELES, CA [October 26, 2011] — The creators of The Buried Life – [Ben Nemtin, Dave Lingwood, Duncan Penn, and Jonnie Penn] announced today that they have signed a new deal with MTV Networks, following the cancellation announcement of their self-titled show, which ran for two seasons on the network.
This new deal is being considered a developmental deal, where the group can create new content, reformat their show and will offer a platform for them to create a pilot for a new series.
The four members of THE BURIED LIFE share; “The four of us grew up dreaming of making television and movies and we’re excited for what’s to come with MTV. We’re doing everything we can to learn the ins and outs of the industry and have many people to thank for giving us the opportunity to do this day in day out, including our fans. We want to continue to grow with our audience and inject in the industry the same dose of genuine compassion that guys like Paul Newman, Steve McQueen and others before us did.”
The Buried Life began five years ago when the four friends from Victoria, BC set out on a mission to accomplish a list of things to do before they die and to help others along the way. The boys funded their initial two-week road trip through local sponsors and fundraisers; their community has since grown to over 1.2 million fans on Facebook.
The group will be publishing their first book, What do You Want to do Before You Die? in March 2012 with Artisan Books, a division of Workman Publishing and are currently in a partnership with Verizon Wireless Careers, the sponsor of their 2011/2012 Nationwide College Tour: whatdoyouwanttodobeforeyougraduate.com
