Joseph Fiennes, Claire Forlani, Eva Green, talk about nice additions to television this season!
In Eva Green´s first TV appearance, we get to see Camelot, a show based mostly on the book “Le Morte d’ Arthur” by Sir Thomas Malory.
In the wake of King Uther’s sudden death, chaos threatens to engulf Britain. When the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future, he installs the young and impetuous Arthur, Uther’s unknown son and heir, who has been raised from birth as a commoner. But Arthur’s cold and ambitious half sister Morgan will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control.
That sounds quite different to BBC´s Merlin and it will be nice to see the differences and similarities between a more comedy-like show and this epic show by Starz.
Let´s all remember Starz is responsible for Spartacus Blood and Sand, and Spartacus Gods of the Arena, meaning that we can very well expect great things from this show.
Well, in preparation for the two hour official premiere, Starz aired the episode one on February 25, after Spartacus Gods of the Arena finale.
I have to say I loved epic music, It usually sets the tone, ala Lord of The RIngs chasing orcs scenes for instance, but these music created by Jeff and Michael Danna really suits the show like a glove and makes it even more interesting, and that´s to say a lot. I mean… King Arthur´s world, Eva Green as the evil Morgan, Joseph Fiennes as Merlin and Claire Forlani as the queen Igraine and the brealout role for Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere.
Funny though what I noticed is that they are quite the look alike Eva Green and Burn Notice´s Gabrielle Anwar.
Of course… it´s Starz, so there´s a lot of skin to watch too, and a lot of Eva Green nude scenes on Camelot, for all of those who´d rather see a beautiful girl naked than a big epic show.
