the-hour-cancelled-renewed-bbcThe year is not over, so, before starting my lists for 2012, there´s still info to fill the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011 lists.

And after some bad news bearing, as Lifetime cancelling Against The Wall, or Nate Berkus Show getting cancelled, and even Man Up pulled off schedule, it was time to bring one good news: BBC and BBC America renewed The Hour for a second season.

The second season of The Hour renewal order is for a six part miniseries that will add to the current cast the likes of Peter Capaldi, Hannah Tointon, Tom Burke, Romola Garai and Ben Winshaw.

As The Hollywood Reporter reported, “The Hour successfully launched BBC America’s new Dramaville franchise in August by setting the standard for great British drama,” said  BBC Worldwide America GM of channels Perry Simon. “Abi Morgan and the Kudos production team delivered an extraordinary television experience and when the opportunity arose for us to co-produce a sequel we jumped at it.”

The show started production last week and will be on it until late March. The show is believed to be airing in 2012´second half.
