In the Not shocking at all news segment of the day CBS renewed The Amazing Race for season 20 today. Remember each year it has two season´s cycles, so we are getting ready for cycle 19th, and later in the spring cycle 20th will be coming to our televisions.
Phil Keoghan will continues to be the host. But why do I say it´s a no shocker? Well, cycles 17th and 18th of Amazing Race averaged 11.2 million viewers and a 3.4/9 in adults 18-49, who would not renew those numbers? CBS certainly wouldn´t pass on that, so CBS renewed The Amazing Race for cycle 20.
The Amazing Race is also a huge international success with different versions such as The Amazing Race Asia, A Corrida Milionária in Brazil, HaMerotz LaMillion in Israel, The Amazing Race Lationamérica in Latin America, The Amazing Race: China Rush in China and The Amazing Race Australia.
One more reason for CBS to renew The Amazing Race for cycle 20.
