fx-cancels-lights-outWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011.

We posted 11 renewal orders today, starting with Futurama getting two years renewal, and The Hub renewing 10 shows. But not everything can be sweet good news.

It´s time to see a new show go. The latest victim in the cancellation front is a knock out. FX cancels Lights Out after only one season with a modest audience of 1,5 million viewers, and that definitely hurt its chances.

The show was performing good in terms of critics, but was way under expectations to deliver the numbers, and as we all know, television is a numbers game.

Unfortunately the Lights Out cancellation comes as a new proof to that.

FX has some other good things in store for the future, like Elijah Wood´s upcoming series, but its concept about a talking human dressed as a dog perhaps is something that won´t deliver numbers either. We´ll see. I think it will also receive good criticism, but I´m not so confident in the ratings department.
