A dreaded day to all HBO fans, and a lot of typing to do for the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011lists.
In this case the only good news on a day that HBO cancelled How to Make it in America, got Hung cancelled, got Bored to Death cancelled and the only bright spot for getting Enlightened renewed for a second season.
What is Enlightened About? Plot Synopsis
Enlightened is an American television series starring Laura Dern. The first season, which premiered on October 10, 2011 on HBO, consists of ten episodes.
HBO has renewed Enlightened for a second season which will include 10 episodes.
Enlightened follows the story of Amy Jellicoe, a self-destructive executive, who, after the implosion of her professional life and a subsequent philosophical awakening in rehabilitation, tries to get her life back together.
So, HBO renews Enlightened and will get a second season in 2012. Surely the awards love that got in recent days helped the decision for the network, because, interestingly enough, Enlightened was the lowest rated of all four laffers, and got the only comeback call.
